For me, I believe it is a two way thing.

We know that experience is a good teacher. What I want to draw from this is that you'll have to experiment on different ad write ups and study the one that yields more results. This might be a hard way to start if you have no Idea of what to write at first.

For you to know what you'll write in order to advertise something you should ask yourself the questions what do I know about this thing? What interest do I have in this? What is captivating about this thing?...Those sparks are what you should try and project in your ads. Then using the first tip you can then find the one that is more effective.

Hence trial and error is the key!
