Well, since you asked for the best way I believe you know that there are many ways.
That said,
I believe the best way to promote your TConnect page is by telling people. Yes. That means you using all available method of advertising that you can lay your hands on, and is legal..not spam.
You might not know which method will work best for you based on many factors like your audience, your investment in advertisement, etc.
So my advice? Explore all possibility and by the results major on the means with better result(s).

The key is advertising!
There are many methods which you can use to advertise. I will like to categorize them based on their monetary needs. Here we have the paid method and the free method.
The free method included the use free classified ads, telling people about SFI and TripleClicks by mouth, then on the global scale use of social media and e-mail to distant family and friends.
Then the paid method will involve the use of fliers, TV ads, internet advertisement, etc. The TV ads and the fliers could be used for local reach, while the internet ads could be use for global reach.
Note that my suggestion on methods of advertisement is limited but it should give you a head start and an idea of what you are meant to do. Good Luck!!

First you should plan..
Plan for what you will be teaching them. You might not have a complete list for this, but it should be on your agenda.
Depending on the amount of people you're expecting to reach out to, buy a hosting plan that will effectively serve you the bandwidth you'll be needing.
Gather enough materials for the training and marketing so that when you launch will not keep promising your downlines of additional things that you might add. This might make 'em lose interest.

Great that your question is, "Who is the BETTER...?"
I made that emphasis because I believe you know that the two groups are meant to be targeted.
For a straight answer, retired persons it should be. In my own opinion, I see them as the group that are more likely to search for ways they can earn money. The homemaker will have little to none of this tendency because he/she has something to occupy him/herself with.
How do you learn to write effective ads if you have never written any ads before?

For me, I believe it is a two way thing.
We know that experience is a good teacher. What I want to draw from this is that you'll have to experiment on different ad write ups and study the one that yields more results. This might be a hard way to start if you have no Idea of what to write at first.
For you to know what you'll write in order to advertise something you should ask yourself the questions what do I know about this thing? What interest do I have in this? What is captivating about this thing?...Those sparks are what you should try and project in your ads. Then using the first tip you can then find the one that is more effective.
Hence trial and error is the key!

Ok, I will start with the does first..
- List the Items that are to be sold
- Start promoting your ECA page
- Try to get affiliates to connect with the ECA
For the "not does"
- Should not list products with high prices. In order to get new buyers the prices should be comparatively low in other to entice new members.

I have set up an auto responder. How can I determine if my auto responder is working?

My simple answer is for you to sign up for your auto responder. doing this will enable you see your content and how it is being delivered as your subscribers will see it.
I don't know if any special software is out there to do this. But with this simple logic, it means you are literally monitoring your auto responder.

You don't need to be born a leader to become a Team Leader here in SFI.
What you need is to know the principle and follow it!
SFI is replete with many training material of which every serious person must take time to read and practise what are in them.
One little thing I have learn for someone to go BTL for example, you need to take not of the needed action VersaPoints that you need to advance to it. This can always be viewed at your scoreboard tab.
So the bottom line is that you should put in your best to learn what SFI is, when you do then practicing them will cause you to become an SFI Team Leader.

Can I set up my SFI business to run on autopilot? If so, how?

For me the straight answer is no.
This can not be done because an autopilot can not do the many decisions that you'll need to do. For instance you can not predict what will be the question or need that your PSAs might want solved at any particular time, hence you need to be active in PERSONALLY building your team.
I guess that is one of the reasons why SFI calls them Personal Sponsored Affiliates.
