I believe that one of the most important things to bear in mind at all times is that your team members are people. They are just like all of us. We all have our pride, we need to be appreciated, we don’t like working in isolation, we have our up days and down days, we need encouragement every now and then, we don’t know everything and need help from time to time. We all need mentors, coaches, models, helpers – Sponsors! regardless of who we are or our state in life.
So be there for your team, supporting them. Teach them the business and show them by your own example how to run the business.
Treat them as your business partners, after all, your own success depends to a large extent on their success.
Focus on helping them succeed. If you do that well, duplication will naturally follow.
