I have noted that many answers are stating that no one is born to leadership and that it is a learned skill. This is both true, and untrue. I believe that some people are more prone to have leadership qualities than others which is possible where the saying "Born Leader" comes from.
Not having natural leadership skills will not necessarily mean that you cannot lead. The most important thing is to have a great deal of knowledge about the area in which you are being a leader. Even someone with great inborn leadership will falter if they have no knowledge.
If this is your concern I would suggest you take advantage of the mass of reading material available to you. Become an expert in your field and you will find that others will look to you for advice and guidance. If you apply what you have learned to your own business, you will soon begin to wonder why you ever doubted yourself.
