I always write my team mails open ended. I include all the appreciations, tips, to dos, goals, encouragements in my team mail and lastly I leave it to them by asking questions like: "ARE YOU READY FOR IT?" or something like "PLEASE NOTIFY ME IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE THIS AWARD". I always demand a reply from them which is a sign of their commitment.
Many a times I run a funny competition like: "The first three repliers of my mail will receive 5 T Credits (or any reward you may wish) from me" and declare the results at Stream Posts.
