Remember, a leader is not always the loudest or most visible person in a room. As a matter of fact - a real leader don't have to be loud and visible in that way. It is also not possible for you to be a leader in every aspect in life - why? because you do not know everything about everything.
In SFI your knowledge and enthusiasm will determine what kind of leader you will be. It becomes almost inevitable that you will lead more and more as you gain knowledge and experience.
Become visible to your team by supporting them the way you would like to be supported.
Become your team's leader by improving yourself - your own knowledge, your own experience and your own enthusiasm. Become the expert they will trust to give them the right advice when they need it.
Do not pretend to know it all and suck answers out of your thumb - if you do not know an answer - find it from another source.
Do not spoon feed your team - but teach them to help themselves (Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach him to fish and feed him for a lifetime)
Lead by example and remember the very old but still very true saying - if you want to change the world start with the man in the mirror.
