Most leaders become so because of situations they act on. Being a leader is merely being a worker that others want to follow. To say that you have to be born a leader is a misconception. Leaders come in all different types, shapes, gender, color and whatever. They are those who take advantage of situations, take calculated risks and never give up on gaining a goal. Here are the rules that build leaders:
1. Watch for opportunities to act.
2. Do what you can to assist in any situation
3. Be there for others
4. Be consistent in doing what you set out to do.
5. Be passionate about your work and your goals
6. Convey that passion through communication
7. Don't be afraid to accept responsibility
8. Do what others won't
9. Be ahead of the crowd don't follow others stand up for what is right
10. Love what you are doing.
Not all of the people who lead are honest and upright, some of destructive to you and others. Evaluate those that you follow and be sure that they are leading you in the principles that you believe in and that are right for you.
