Individual and group mailings are both worthwhile and useful. Each has its advantages. It is important and worthwhile that the first piece of communication to your affiliates should be individual. New affiliates need to feel welcome and encouraged. They need support that they have made a good decision.
You can prepare your letters and have them saved so that as you receive a new affiliate the letter goes automatically to that individual. In this way, it does not matter if you have 2 new affiliates or a few hundred. Just take the time to set it up initially.
Use e-cards to encourage them as they progress. This tool is wonderful for helping the affiliate along. Though it may be a tedious exercise to send out an e-card to everyone, they are most effective. You can send to those who are making the extra effort or who are doing best. Your affiliate will recognize the thought that went into sending it.
Group mailing has its advantages too. Group mailing can be done for general information. While the feeling is different, the main objective is simply to inform of some event, new idea, etc. It may be more effective if the groups are smaller and grouped for specific purposes. Then you can have better inter-communication within the group. Group mailing cam be sent out via stream. Therefore, only those who are active can receive them.
In using either tool, focus on your objective. Remember to keep your communication current, honest, regular and upbeat. Continue to be an awesome sponsor and success will be yours.
