Here's how I do it...I create habits for myself while setting up for duplication. I use the tools at SFI and develop a pattern that I can teach to my team.
When I receive new Team Members (from the SFI Co Op or PSA To Go), using the tools provided, I send out the formatted letter from each affiliate’s profile page. I have modified mine just a bit, but it is basically 'right out of the box'. I use ~FIRSTNAME~ to personalize it since this code will drop in their name, then I send it and mark it sent (when you do this it removes the option from the profile page and now you know you have completed this action). Do this Immediately!
The next day, I take a quick look at their activity from my Movers Tab (check all your affiliate activity here and click the blue box to earn your AVP) and send an Ecard. Congratulations are in order! You can include a getting started tip, or perhaps send a Fast Track card, but be sure to keep it very brief.
Now I wait and watch. I keep an eye on their activity for the next few days. If all goes as planned, they have contacted me and are beginning to have questions. If they have questions, I begin to work with them. Once we are working together, I start making notes in their profile (when the pencil turns ‘green’ on my genealogy page, I know, at a glance, that my new affiliate has shown an interest). If there is no sign of life from them, I simply rotate them into weekly/bi-weekly and eventually into my monthly mailing. I do all of the mailings from the genealogy page. It keeps me organized and I earn my AVP.
Use all of your SFI tools and make these actions a routine. When you have done this, you will teach duplication and your team will use these tools and begin to grow their business.
Now you are free to move on to bigger things to market your business. And, there are tools and habits for making that easy and duplicatable, as well.
