This is a great question. Many people have had bad experiences with online businesses for whatever reason, but SFI has many satisfied affiliates.
I try to be honest and let people know that I was, indeed, confused at first! I had to figure out what to actually do, how to earn money (and was pleasantly surprised to learn there are more than just one or two ways to earn!) and have faith that since this company has been around for almost 20 years and has a wonderful reputation I am in good hands.
Not only that, but there are SO MANY people that are willing to offer assistance. Upline team members, A2A friends, the forum, the helpdesk, and lots of tips on personal blogs and such as well as the Launchpad and internal training and information.
I basically let them know what to expect. They will probably not get rich their first month or two and must be committed to logging in daily, learning, promoting, and focusing on this opportunity.
