You can do both depending on your desired results but I personally use multiple blogs.
The reason I use more than one blog and have a degree of separation between SFI and TripleClicks is because I use targeted search engine and social media marketing to bring interested parties to both offers. When you look at the two major crowds for SFI and TripleClicks you will see stunning differences in their online habits.
The opportunity seeker is focused on making some extra money and usually in need of added earnings not more bills. If they spend money it tends to be investments that will help them reach their goal of making more money. This makes them a poor match for TC PRM but ideal for a blog about owning a home based business.
The Gift buyer is largely more affluent and may share interest in collections and hand crafts, hobbies, and shopping in general but may be put off by the offer of a home business or network marketing type offer. They want to shop, not be pitched a message about making more money as they have money they are looking to spend. Believe me no amount of pitching will soften 90% of those buyers and for many even the talk of SFI will just confuse them and turn them off from the one thing they were ready to do when they found your site. Make finding the items they want fast and buying simple and you will generate sales.
The necessity buyer or super saver is often a mix of both. They will be open to hearing about the Member Reward Points and discounts for standing orders and when you show them that they can add an SFI membership and even get cash back by way of the TripleClicks Executive Pool they will warm to that prospect and maybe even the idea of having a home business helping others save time and money.
Since hosting accounts typically allow you to host 2 or more sites for one low monthly cost the main added expense is $10 a year for a additional domain name, $20 if you target money savers separate from gift buyers.
The added time spend writing unique content and tips for each blog will be well compensated in no time if you are consistent and over deliver on expectations. If you choose to do all from one blog you will have the added challenge of keeping topics separate and targeted to specific sub niches in your readership. You will still need to write materials that address all of those desires spoken of above, though or your readers will lose interest in your blog if they wait too long for content they are interested in.
