I wish I know them all so I can avoid doing them myself!
For a start go to https://www.sfimg.com/Training/AwesomeSponsor? There you will find the Dos and Don't of sponsoring but to answer your question I will mention here some of the things that are dear to me. I will frame them in the positive - what to do. The opposite are what to avoid.
- Regardless of the level of the affiliates keep in constant contact with them. How much depends on their level. Nurture the ones who are starting out and needing help but keep on encouraging those who are established. We all need a boost now and then.
In other words, do not neglect your affiliates.
- Welcome them warmly when they first join.
- Remember what it was like when you first joined. Regardless of your enthusiasm and knowledge there was still plenty to do and learn. Don't bombard them with emails etc. Just encourage them to do their training and if they need help you are there for them.
- Impress upon them your role and that you are there for them
- Be encouraging and never give them the slightest impression that you are there for selfish reasons, that you are only saying and asking them to do things because you are solely after money. Be genuine in helping them to succeed.
- Make suggestions to them, tips etc. Do not command them. They are in control of their businesses, not you.
- Be patient with them. Some of them without doing the training will ask you - what do I do? how do I get paid? etc.. Be patient and give them a brief summary and then gently steer them to the right places on the site for them for a full answer. Never put them down.
- Be honest with them. If you say that your are doing something for them, do it. They need to know that they can rely on you, that they can trust you.
- Help them to be successful, with sales, recruitment etc. You want duplication. If they are successful, you will also be successful. You should therefore help them with sponsoring their own affiliates, coaching them to be awesome sponsors.
There are a lot more that can be said here but as I said before these are only some of the thing s that are dear to me. Have a look at the 'Training' for how to be an awesome sponsor.
Blessings.
