It is very complicated when you have to explain anything to someone who dont know much about new things. Some times it is best to point them to already existing base of knowledge about that thing. Reffering PSAs to youtube would be good option,there are many videos that explain SFI and can be very helpfull. Also you should talk to them and tell them everything you already know about SFI and try to put it in fun way so it dont look like toutoring or something boring.
