I would tell everyone that cyber attacks can happen at any successful organizations such as SFI and Triple Clicks. Although the attack was a bit troublesome it made the owners of this organization realize that the security they had was vulnerable and needed to be updated. And, they have diligently accomplished that mission.
Their quick actions, when the attack was discovered, prevented catastrophic results. None of the Affiliates personal information was jeopardized. That alone is very reassuring and, although the attack happened, the security that was in placed kept the attacker from completely penetrating sensitive areas.
Discovering the attack is very commendable as it was probably designed to be so minute, not very noticeable. They can see how Gery and his staff were closely monitoring the activities within SFI and Triple Clicks. They did not wait to take actions.
I will point out to them that I, myself, feel secured that Gery and his staff will protect my information. I've seen how quickly they responded to the attack and feel more assured that they now have the best security system implemented. Because now they are more educated and aware that they can't take anything out of ordinary for granted.
I will further point out that Cyber attacks can happen at any time with any organization they do business with. There are individuals out there that have nothing to do but to create havoc. So, as they utilize the internet to buy or sell they can do their part by implementing their own security such as having the bank, creditors, etc. notify the, of any suspicious transactions and to monitor their own accounts’ transactions.
