They majority of the answers to this question are very "me, me, me" oriented. They all say to write as often as you need help. So does that mean that you keep quiet unles you are asking your sponsor or co-sponsor for something?
What about all the questions he asks you and you never answer? Is it any more right for you to expect answers when you ask than if he asks and you don't answer?
Well, my answer to this question is that communication goes in both direction. Both sides need to answer the questions. How can he answer some questions for you unless he knows what some of your hardships are?
For instance how would you like it if your sponsor kept insisting that you log in every day without fail, and you have to paddle a canoe to get to a computer cafe? I'm not talking about giving excuses, but the realities of your life.
Ask for his help when you need it, respond to his communications, and don't expect a one on one answer each time. Sometimes your question becomes the subject ot a team mail and you get your answer there.
Yes, most questions can be answered by reading the materials that SFI provides, but sometimes there is just a fog over someone and they must keep asking questions. Most sponsors even when they are busy will respond. They know that in time the affiliate will either see the big picture and not ask as many questions, or they will go dormant.
I much prefer to have an affiliate ask as many questions as they can think up, much more than the one who opts out and gives as the reason "didn't understand."
