Having a mentor is good but having a good mentor is a must. Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen and a push in the right direction that is what I do believe.
If you ask me about the biggest mentor in the SFI is our Forum where you can have all the intellectuals and scholars together. So, our Forum is the biggest mentor in SFI.
A mentor should be the one who can give you the ideas and ways to progress and guide you safely and confidently in the system. A mentor should be able to share his positive thoughts and energize at the time of negativism. I always get such positive energy whenever I need positive energy and real and good solutions for my questions from our Forum. Hence, for me, the SFI Forum is the biggest and the only mentor in SFI.
In short, having a mentor is like this. The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves. In a battery, I strive to maximize electrical potential. When mentoring, I strive to maximize human potential.
