Well, don’t we all suffer from this constraint? I know I do. But, and this is the beauty of SFI – it is MY BUSINESS. That means I have total control over what I do, how much I do, and when I do it. Isn’t’ that great!
The real questions are: What is my priority? How important it SFI to me? What am I prepared to do to pursue MY SFI BUSINESS?
So, how do I handle the “time issue”? I do the following: -
1. First I know when the SFI 24 hour day ends in local time. For example, I am in New Zealand. That means during Summer Daylight Savings Time the clock strikes midnight at SFI Headquarters at 7.00 pm the next evening in New Zealand. I need to remember this so that I can plan to do whatever I have to each day before the clock ticks over and I loose the chance. This is particularly important when trying to gain VP for rank determinations on the last day of the month – but it is important each day too.
2. Knowing this I then make SFI my NUMBER ONE PRIORITY each day. This means I will do whatever I need to do to complete at least my daily tasks. For instance I do any or all of the following: -
a. Get up an hour earlier and do SFI before anything else.
b. Stay up late to do SFI before retiring to bed for the night.
c. Do SFI on my smart phone during the day whenever I have time.
d. Do SFI on my work computer during morning tea and lunch breaks.
e. Do SFI as soon as I get home at night.
f. Give up TV time to do SFI.
g. When I don’t have access to my own computer I ask to borrow a friends or go to the local library or internet café to login.
So far I have never missed a day. Sometimes I only do the minimum (ll action VPs) but, don’t kid yourself that you can grow a SFI business very well by doing that. Nor do I suggest that you make it a habit to only do the minimum. Really you have to be prepared to spend more time – at least an hour a day, anything less and you are cheating yourself.
So it is about priorities and commitment. But I love my SFI business. It is a pleasure to be working in it. Don’t you feel the same way? Hence I don’t begrudge the time I spend on SFI – in fact I get a real kick out of it. I hope you will too.
