Send them a message thanking them for their rating. Here is a sample of what I send.
"Hi, Thank you so much for your much appreciated rating. I consider feedback from my members to be my best assist. I realize that I have a lot I can improve on, so I would appreciate any help you could give me to improve my ability to serve you better.
Thanks again,
Sincerely."
I have used this with some success, and have received some very valuable information and advice from my PSA.
If they don't respond, then I take the attitude that they didn't care enough to check whether they were giving me a good or bad rating. One person wrote and said that he thought he was giving me the best rating at #1 because I deserved the highest mark. That I was #1 in his eyes. He is no longer with SFI, but he never gave me less than a 5 after that.
