Good question. Becoming a Team Leader is actually optional. There is no punishment if you choose not to be a Team Leader, but it does help you build your business a lot if you do choose to be a Team Leader. In order to qualify for Team Leader, you have to have 2000 Max Sales Points and 1000 Action Points for at least a total of 3000 Versapoints.
There are 4 Team Leader Ranks: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Bronze: You have to get in between 3000-3999 Versapoints to achieve that rank. By becoming a Bronze Team Leader, you will be able to receive 3 benefits: You will be able to achieve Matching VPs from your Executive Affiliate 2 downline members up to 6 generations (All action points they get will become yours too), you will receive 12 Free Rank T-Credits around the 11th of every month or so after the time you get payed commissions, and here is the last thing best of all. You will receive 1 share of bonus 2nd Home CSAs added to your genealogy roster. That's about over 40 extra CSAs added to your team. One or more of your CSAs might even be an "ACE" addition like a Team Leader. Remember that you will receive 15% of commissions from your CSAs including ineligible and Matching VPs shares too.
Silver: You have to get in between 4000-4999 Versapoints to achieve that rank. By becoming a Silver Team Leader, you will be able to receive 3 benefits: You will be able to achieve Matching VPs from your Executive Affiliate 2 downline members up to 8 generations (All action points they get will become yours too), you will receive 14 Free Rank T-Credits around the 11th of every month or so after the time you get payed commissions, and here is the last thing best of all.
