My input will be as follow in such scenarios when I consider it as excessive n unnecessary communication with my fellow team mates :
When you keep bugging n flooding them too frequently via be it email, team mail, a2 messages or any other forms of communication say like very day or so I would say one to twice a week should be ok and remember to keep it short sweet n relevant.
Never over promise and not be able to deliver or honoufit Ada result.
No pushing and pestering to buy stuff or going SO if the team is not ready just leave it as the saying goes you can bring a cow to the river but you cannot force it to drink
Be consistent and considerate and all the best
