SFI provides a great opportunity to network with like minded friends through a2a platform. In my opinion the best way to solicit support and assistance would be:
1. Keep it informal to begin with. We shall have to establish a connect before jumping into seeking support.
2. Understand each others mutual interest. This can be achieved through regular communication.
3. Seek a skype meeting. A face to the name always helps in building trust.
4. Share your experiences with SFI and be frank enough to talk about your success and failures.
5. Having done these the platform is set for seeking help. Ask him/her to talk about their experience with SFI. The challenges they faced and how they overcame.
6. Try to understand similarity of the problem and ask them how you can overcome issues. Is there something you can learn from them and duplicate. An indication of wanting to learn is a powerful emotional tool which helps in getting a positive response.
To summarize I would say :- Catch, Connect, Communicate, establish the relationship, nurture, narrate experience and then support and assistance will follow from a2a friends.
