The best way is to remind them that they can join SFI for FREE. No risk on their part whatsoever. There is no $$ investment required. Then instead of trying to answer a bunch of questions, refer them to the SFI homepage--basics, launchpad, support etc. This is especially important when you have just joined SFI. SFI has the support and training set up to answer their questions much more effectively than you can--especially if you are a newbie yourself.
