Regarding this My suggestion is that,

Keep track of your affiliate on all aspect of his move in the business.

* First you should be an example to show how you are moving, earning, understanding.

* importance of earning even a nominal amount ($0.50), and mail him a clipping of how
much you earned last month.

* keep the contests and let him participate and win prizes you put.

* make him understand the importance of Standing Orders.

* awarding him some gift cards or a place in your advertising co-ops.
