In a case of quitting SFI, it is a self decision. You can't force your downline to do anything against his/her own freewill. The only thing you can do is to motivate and encourage him/her to press on but if he/she insist, let go.
The reason you should let go if your downline lacks the vision of going on is that if you continue pestering him/her, it will raise some suspicion in your downline that you're trying to use him/her for your own selfish interest.
Keep working hard to improve yourself. Maybe when he/she sees you being successful in the business will be convinced to come back and strive to make it just like you did and this time will take it more serious than before.
It's a matter of time so give it some time.
