This is probably the most difficult question to answer of all: how to convince an SFI affiliate not to quit.
First of all I would ask them why they want to quit: lack of money, time, experience, understanding, language,or any other thing that may be frustrating for them. If I can give immediate help, I do.
Second, I would tell them the facts:
1. Let them know that if they quit they will lose, not only all of their hard earned CSAs but also their PSAs.
2. They must maintain the rank of EA to keep their CSAs but will never lose their PSAs as long as they don’t quit. I offer to continue to help their PSAs on a one-on-one basis so that if they choose to come back their business may have grown in their absence. (I also let them know, tactfully that I will never lose those PSAs, so they don’t think I’m being selfish, but rather have their best interests at heart, which I sincerely do.)
3. Give them the full disclosure of the opportunity that they will be giving up: royalties from sponsoring active ECAs, free web page to promote and sell their own products as an ECA, break down the numbers ($$) if they sponsor 5 Leaders who sponsor 5 Leaders and so on.
4. Make sure they know how they can be successful by using their own talents and interests. Find out what they are and work with them by keeping in close contact.
