As a financially-challenged EA2 myself, I do not believe that you should offer financial help to your affiliates.
My sponsor offered me financial help knowing I was struggling and couldn't afford to buy an SO to make EA. I very much appreciated his offer but declined politely because I believed I needed to make EA by my own work. And I did make EA and EA2, with much pride, by logging in every day and doing everything needed to build up my VersaPoints. My sponsor did reward my efforts of making EA by gifting me some TCredits, which was very nice of him.
Whenever I can afford to buy something, I do, otherwise I manage by gaining points and by entering by T-Time as much as possible as well as the Daily Grand hopefully to win one day.
I think the best help you can offer your affiliates is your continued support and encouragement. Let them know you are always there to answer any questions they may have and perhaps do as my sponsor did and give a reward for good work such as TCredits, gift certificates or similar. I really do think this is more beneficial in the long run to your affiliates than giving financial assistance.
