To accomplish these tasks , the leader must be, the followings:
1. The leader must be caring about the progress of his/her affiliates, unselfish and not over bearing. He/she must be genuinely interested in the progress of the affiliates. Someone had said, ‘People do not care how much you KNOW until they know how much you CARE about their welfares.’
2. The Leader must be ahead of the affiliates even if not more than an inch to inspire followership. You must know the way sufficiently to be able to lead the affiliates and inspire their trust and followership.
3. You must be an example of persistence, consistence, determination and smart work, that the affiliates are aspiring to become in the business.
4. Your words and actions must not betrail your confidence in this business if they must follow and trust you as a leader. You must be sufficiently convinced of the out come of doing this business as recommended.
5. You must be a solution provider in the SFI business; that is you are well educated enough in the SFI business to profer solutions to many, if not all, of their questions and doubts, for them to start to see you as a trustworthy leader and not as a slave driver figure head, who happened to be in the business before them.
6. Be a ‘Father figure’ to them; courageous in difficult circumstances and inspiring encouragement and succor. Never show doubts or discouragement in the business, if they must trust your leadership.
7. Be generous with praise; as a leader play low on their weaknesses (everyone has one or more) and magnify their strengths. Make yourself available and approachable as a trustworthy leader that you are.
I believe if you practice these few points genuinely, you will be trusted as a leader that worths following.
