Overemphasis on getting affiliates earn their first 1500 VPs, in my opinion has often meant that very little is mentioned about the days to come. In my opinion this is tantamount to throwing someone who has never been in the water before into the sea with their limbs tied. I felt like that before when for nearly 3 months I had to find my way out. Thankfully, I survived and promised not to let others go through the same experience.
My strategy with all my new affiliates is to get them to realising that they need more than completing the daily and monthly activities. I point out to them that SFI is not a quick fix but a very productive business that requires them to participate actively. I guide them to create links to products they themselves love and find easy to promote. In so doing they are learning to build their own commission pool as well as points. This method is particularly useful for those who do not have much to spend.
I also encourage them to stretch their dollar as far as it can possibly go to get the best value for it. The key here is to go beyond common sense and apply ECONOMIC sense instead. It is a fact that if you fish through TripleClicks you will come through worthy items that are priced less and give more points in total singles than if sold as bundles e.g. 11 x 1 TC will cost $20.79 with total earning of 1122 VP. In contrast 50 TC will cost $19.50 and yield 694 points. There are many more.
Explain the importance of duplication and its associate benefits. Make them realise that duplication is not just about adding numbers to SFI but a way of building your income through commission and VPs gained through supporting them. Support an EA2 will earn one 100 points.
In all, be honest and helpful. Guide them to use SFI tools to their advantage. Let them realise from the beginning that they may need to look elsewhere to get points and this does not have to be expensive.
