I believe that in order to prepare your affiliates, you have to cheer them on. Sometimes they just need someone to cheer them. They believe that you as their sponsor is there for them. Try to answer all of their questions.
Then, when they've completed their second month, congratulate them. If they're an EA2, recognize them on your stream post. Show them how much you appreciate them, but tell it to the world!!!
