Goals,like in an every human being,motivate individuals to do something for their well-being.

So,setting goals in SFI,will probably do the same to you in your business.Improve it.

Getting new people into your business,teaching them,improving your rank,helping others (in the same matter someone helped you) etc.
Achieving these goals is the main thing,but don`t set your goals too high in the begining.As the old saying says,"Stretch yourself,only as much as you are long."
Setting goals that are too high can be de-motivating and,as a result,bad for your improvement.

So,matter of a fact,goals are important,but be reasonable.
