My opinion: I consider SFI Business is a Team work & Team can be motivated by proper guidelines, encouragement & appreciations at appropriate time & a very good communication in this regard is most essential. For the development of your business, you have to keep communications continue with your Team Members and for this interactions with your team members, i don't think the question of how much is too much does't arises, i mean we should not put any borderline for communication with your team members. I strongly feel no such definitions are being written as how much is too much for developing a business.
Yes, if you insist the unnecessary things which are not required for a certain period say during beginning, then it will be too much for your team members.
