Skype has proved to be effective for me because it is easier to use for face to face communication with team members and on the spot most issues relating to moving our team forward are agreed and resolved.
It gives one the opportunity to have a direct contact knowing that you are communicating with a real person whom you are viewing life as you chat and discuss your SFI business together and way forward.
The very good aspect of it all is getting to know your team member as you see him or her on video chat. Skype gives you the benefit of viewing the reaction of the person as you chat. You get better understanding as you tap into the life chat discussion and bare your mind along the line.
It is very easy to use this medium to best explain burning issues in SFI that would rather be difficult when writing mail. Clarity is gotten on the spot.
