Always start with saying absolutely yes you can. Be honest about the work involved in maintaining a presence on the internet without spending any money. Is it really like going to school? No one pays you for the 12 years you spend getting from first grade to college. It cost you well over $30,000 to spend two or more years at a community college and no one pays you to get an associate’s degree. Fewer still spend two more years and sometimes over a few hundred thousand dollars to get their bachelors’. The numbers shrink even more of those that go on to get their masters and PHD after spending thousands more. There is no guarantee that any one will hire you after your years of study and the debt you accumulated. Telling new affiliates they can build their business for free may seem a bit misleading but it is possible not to buy things from the TripleClicks store and still build your business to earn enough to reinvest in marketing and expanding your foundation.
Tell them it will take a lot of investment of time and a real commitment. Recruiting affiliates that follow their example will require much more time. On the other hand you can never tell someone their business will grow quicker if they throw money at their business or blow 2000VP their first month as an affiliate and making EA. Tell them to take their time, do the lessons and apply what they learn. It’s more important they spend an hour or less each and every day then for them to spend several hours one day and disappear the rest of the week. They should plan the week and the month and do the daily actions, weekly actions and monthly actions. I’ve seen members complete their 1500 points the first day and never return or do any more work. It’s like opening a store and leaving town the next day, then expecting to return to find a smiling face behind the counter working for you, hand over the cash register and thank you for letting them do all your work for you. Again, I know business owners that work for months without getting paid... this is who they will be even if they show up every day for the first few months. Unlike college students they will not be in debt and to be honest they will not be far behind those that invested money not really knowing what to spend money on without spending time learning their business. There is a balance but it does not have to be all at one time. The tide will shift.
It is ok not to invest anything the first few months. If they are focused on learning the business and building a team they will have to learn how to market on line. The time will be well spent, as long as you are an awesome sponsor and are willing to spend the extra time training and mentoring your MOVERS, they will grow. With matching VP from an active team they build they might earn enough to get their pay card in a few months. If they reinvest what they earn from the executive pool they could grow their business, GROWTH is the key word, not time or money. This is the growth period like the first two years of college. Tell them not to expect much from the executive pool. The period of earnings is not yet for them. It will help if they become a Wave3 member but they will not get rich from that either, it’s got great benefits they can use to build their TCredits and MRP which they should save up and use to build their business, but some people are even finding that hard to do, there are people in countries earning less than $2 a day. Survival is also an investment. At least they will not have student loans to pay. Their business will grow.
The next SIX MONTHS are critical. Without spending any money, building a team will take hours of dedicated time advertising and promoting the SFI opportunity, TripleClicks products and finding ECA’s that will sign up. I just reviewed The Basics and realized that these also need to be reviewed at least once each month; it will help them stay on track. It is so important they do the daily actions and show up each day that it would not be far from the truth to tell them that they stand to lose thousands of dollars months down the road for every day they miss. Momentum is important in any business. Even spending money does not replace the work you need to do. Spending time at the forum and reading the training lessons offer more than money can buy getting the 1500VP each month. I know this by experience.
This is the bottom line. Even if they invest in making EA every month and top out their sales and purchases earning VP, becoming Bronze team leader each month still requires daily activity and a team to send weekly group mails to and checking your leadership page. There is no guarantee how much money they will earn after all their hard efforts and the money they spent. It is time that makes your income grow as long as the efforts can be duplicated, they have to be committed for at least a year not just a few months and forget about getting rich quick with the magic program. It’s good to have a standing order that makes you EA every month but it is more important to live within your means, budget your investment and commit to working everyday regardless of the size of your commission the next month. Work consistently, farmers and business owners do this every day. I expect this from myself first.
