I often start conversations with people I don't know. What are the best ways I can transition these conversations into me giving them an X-card/flyer/postcard for SFI?
Transition the conversations into "May I give you my business card?" and already have it out so you can place it in their hand. Most people automatically take the card and look at it. Some ask questions and some hand it back (while politely saying, "no thanks") while others are in a hurry and shove it in their pocket or purse to look at it later at home.
Make sure there is contact info on whatever you give them in case they have questions later.
End the communication with something positive and if possible mention something about what you talked about (i.e. I hope your son/ daughter gets well soon.). Keep the conversation about them.
