I am glad that this question is asked because our SFI business largely depends on Duplication.
Duplication simply means you will encourage your affiliates copy what you are doing, and in return they will also encourage their affiliates to do what they are doing.
With this simple concept of duplication there are very important elements that must be present in order to duplication to occur.
1. Since duplication starts from you, you must do something worth duplicating. The least that you should do is you are maintaining a rank by accumulating VP' and you are recruiting affiliates. if you want them to focus on duplication, you yourself is focusing on duplication.
2. Not all your affiliates can do or will do duplication. Identify movers and you must work only with few interested PSA's. You can easily identify them even at the time they join SFI. They are usually the fast trackers. They complete their profile and give you notice that they are ready to go.
3. After Identifying few interested affiliates, tell them that you see in them the great potential to become successful in SFI but they need to focus on duplication if they want to make it happen.
4. You must identify the areas where they will find difficulties as they would try to duplicate what you are doing. Be sure to offer options on how to overcome the difficulties.
5. Help them overcome those difficulties. Do not encourage dependency but rather teach them techniques, specially on finding affiliates.
6. Establish good communication line between you and them. Propose a coaching session if they like.
7. Monitor their progress and always encourage them to persevere.
8. Tell them to pass on what they are learning and doing to their own affiliates.
