SFI has structured the page to make it easy to find where to begin, but yet this is probably the most asked question in the forums.

There are 3 buttons at the top of the page, the first is START which offers a video overview of SFI and the training program and tells you how important it is to pay close attention to what you learn through the other two buttons.

Button two is SFI Basics and it's really the simple mindset you need to be a success. It will guide you on what is most important to learn from each lesson and apply to a set of daily actions. In the end our system is as simple as 1. become and Executive Affiliate, 2. Recruit others to SFI and 3. Teach them how to do steps 1 and 2.

Button 3 begins the hard work by breaking down the items of the VP Ledger into a daily lesson plan that can last you up to 30 days. In this plan called Launchpad you quickly learn about the company, the products, your rankings, the benefits of Versa Points, the potential of your business, and are introduced to things like the FAST Track Membership.

I see people who swear by sending people a long laundry list of links, or dumping the new recruit on the VP-Ledger page and telling them get all the points possible.

When I was a brand new affiliate marketer a decade ago that page would have confused and intimidated me if it was the first thing my sponsor showed me. Likewise I would be looking for step by step training like we have with the 3 buttons at the top of the page instead of a 1 time nightmare e-mail with 3 dozen links in it. SFI shouldn't confuse or overwhelm people and the last thing you should say on their first day in a free to join program is spend money now.

The launchpad goes in depth on the benefits of Fast Track membership and becoming an EA2, no sales pitch needed and there are reminders the affiliate will see when they log in for both programs if they don't have a standing order or are still eligible for Fast Track Membership. SFI also knows their products and doesn't confuse the NMP or New Member Pack benefits with the Fast Track Membership benefits which means your PSA will get a proper start.

Be patient and ready to answer questions and when they finish the launch-pad lessons and start getting their feet wet promoting SFI and TripleClicks, then you can show the George Little's Internet Income Course or talk with them about auction strategy, or offer your own tips on recruiting, a great way to make sure they can learn at their pace is start a blog and introduce them to your archived newsletters and FAQs.

Great salesmen have passion.

They believe in their product and can tell you a good story about how they have personally used the product to achieve desired results. They are more interment with the product than a store clerk who hasn't ever had to think about using adult diapers much less which ones provide the most comfort and protection for example.

A Good salesperson also knows the answers to common questions about their product like, "Does this hair spray put CFCs into the atmosphere?" or "If my child gets a similar rash is that ointment good for them too?" and is not afraid to say I'll find out if they don't immediately know the answer.

They are honest, when they promise something they must do everything humanly possible to ensure delivery and go the extra mile to make things right if something does go wrong. Their reputation should generate word of mouth, and they should be well respected by not just their peers but their customers too.

At SFI you won't do a lot of selling, because the materials provided do a great job of covering the details and handling any pitch needed. When you are offering items for sale at TripleClicks review them as a customer instead of advertising them and you will do a better job of selling. Get into the what it does, what it weighs, the options, the colors, and be a good customer first. You wont always recommend something you buy at TripleClicks but as the number of fair and insightful reviews add up your site will start generating sales activity.

Don't think of SFI as a sales job because it is more of a opportunity meeting. People generally know by the time they sign up that they want a home business they just don't know why SFI is the best one and telling them what the training materials say will turn them off, but telling them why you love your business will work wonders.

Since many sponsors are working with hundreds of affiliates you may try to reserve non urgent questions until you have 2-3 to ask.

I wouldn't be the person who goes to their sponsor on every question for sure. Where possible do your research, use the search box, forum, Ask SC, and Support FAQ's as much as possible so you can focus on what hasn't already been covered a hundred times over.

Where possible I urge teams to work together on Skype or other IM software so you can have that constant moral support and not feel like you are alone in this business. If possible I suggest sponsors put together not less than a weekly team meeting via Google Hangouts or Skype. The live contact is inspiring.

I've seen you do that, tell people to stop training and growing and save the remaining VP for their second month.

The problem with that is they break the good habit of studying hard and working towards completing goals and learn the skills of a-round-tuit. Man I love those little wooden pieces.

When a new member is getting started they need to work at their own pace with neither pressure to hurry through training or slowing down to a snail's crawl. If they complete their training and want to start a standing order this month to become a BTL then congratulate, then educate.

Make sure they know that there will not be as many free VP in coming months.

They need to understand that maintaining Executive Affiliate status is important. They need to understand that the only major benefit they get by becoming a BTL in month 1 is 40-60 CSA added to their teams to support and hopefully lead to success. The other benefits will not help them until they have a team to lead.

I understand you are especially concerned for the people with little to no money, but rest assured the faster they can find a way to secure a standing order the harder they will work to get back to profits and more serious they will take their business.

Marketing begins with you not an advertisement.

When planning a marketing campaign you need to look at your number one resource and the one product people will make their choice to join or pass on. That's the human connection. See people join a business opportunity based on trust and comfort. They are more apt to join a program a good friend is in than they are to click through a banner ad and sign up.

At the minimum they will need to hear good things about the program and their sponsor.

People also love to join a passionate cause. If we are passionate about our business and clearly state our goals and objectives we create a environment that is fun to join. To sell that feeling requires dedication to task, a public presence, and an evangelical level of passion about SFI and TripleClicks.

All of this becomes your personal brand and will help determine the relationships you build.

Build a brand that is based in integrity, trust, loyalty, and being approachable. Be that person who is up to date on their industry and shares tips and training consistently. Be the friend who will sit with someone til 3AM working out a problem. Be a person that people simply want to be a part of their lives and you will establish that personal brand.

Marketing is about the connection made and experience of being around a company and it's people. It is far more effective than advertising and well worth the time investment.

Blogging on their own domain, and learning SEO and search engine marketing. Sure the start off is slower.

It takes months before traffic becomes serious enough to drive recruitment and income but in just a years time I have built up my Adsense income to cover my hosting cost and standing order, and my SFI to cover another training system I use in addition to SFI, and a bit of profit I can use to invest in paid advertising.

I am making money with my business and growing my promotion network expanding into other niche areas like a new blog I am planning that will promote the ECA program and sales at TripleClicks by Christmas.

If they are 100% stuck on using free methods and not learning to blog they will be 100% stuck on low results, poor growth, and no long term plan.

If a member doesn't see the value of SFI you wont be able to stop them from chasing fast money or other people's offers. Many will leave and some will return after finding the grass is not any greener on the other side.

If a team member leaves it is because they were not committed to their own success. Is that the person you want to depend on for part of your earnings? Do you want a team of self doubt and constant fear or a confident group of people dedicated to doing the work to achieve the results?

I know which type of person I want on my team.
