First of all you need to have your spouse onside and supporting your SFI endeavour. To do this I keep mine informed of all that is going on and share with him details of my team and their achievements (or lack thereof). I have also asked him to sit with me and discuss a business plan and how much of both time and money to invest. In this way, he knows what my timetable is and when I will be busy 'doing SFI' and therefore not require me for other things at those times.

How much and what kind of involvement your spouse has depends on each of your skills and available time and money.

If your spouse is a better writer than you, perhaps he/she could write blog articles for you or an autoresponder campaign. If he/she has some IT skills perhaps he could design a webpage or splash page for you. My husband hasn't actually spent time working on my webpages, but he has looked at them and given useful feedback.

He also listens to my articles and autoresponder messages and tells me how he thinks others might perceive them. Sometimes I have rewritten them to take his ideas into account.

Unfortunately that is the extent of involvement my spouse has, but it is a help, and is certainly better than opposing me. If he were more available, I'd ask him to perhaps log in and do the daily actions, and maybe place ads which I have already prepared.

Having your spouse's involvement is a definite plus, even if it is only in a relatively small way, such as mine.

"What would be some good products to promote for Father's Day (and/or for a Father's Day Product Collection)?"

I think you could make several different kinds of product collections for the different kinds of dads. There are DIYers - handyman dads who would like tools; there are dads who love different kinds of sport - for example golf or fishing. There are dads who love to go camping and dads who love to read. I'm sure with a little brainstorming you could come up with heaps of categories of dads and the things they may be interested in.

Make a list of the things you think would suit those categories and then search TripleClicks for the best prices of those items, or if your promotion is going to be local, then stick to what is available in your own country to reduce shipping costs, or look for those with free shipping.

Of course some products would suit all dads whatever their other interests. Such items could be personal care products, car care or electronic gadgets. Include these in all your collections.

This is a good question and one I asked myself a few months ago.

The benefits of being a Bronze Team Leader are:
matching VP for the work of your team down to 6 levels.
12 bonus TCredits every month
1 share of second home CSAs
a once-off $10 Bronze Bonus the second month you maintain BTL

The benefits of being a BTL must be weighed up against what it may cost you to attain or maintain that status. I became a BTL in my first month by doing all of my training right away. Of course I didn't have a team to lead, so I didn't benefit from the matching VP.

The shares of CSAs I received were useless because none of them did much and the minimal CSC I received was a pittance compared to the cost of maintaining BTL.

I persevered for several months buying PSAs through S-Builder and Pro-Profit. Most of these never logged in and of the few who did, most dropped out after the first month.

I realised I couldn't maximise the benefits of being a BTL unless I had a strong team to a few levels deep. There is no point spending money to maintain that rank if the cost of doing so far outweighs the returns you get from the rank.

I decided to drop back to EA2 and focus on building a strong team and making sales in TripleClicks before worrying about becoming BTL again. I keep a check on my Scoreboard page which shows me what earnings I may be missing out on by not being a BTL. When I see that my team is growing and generating enough VP to make it worthwhile to outlay more money, then I will again become BTL.

So you maximise the benefits of being a Bronze Team Leader by having a strong team going to several levels with regular EA2s in more than 1 level. You need to work hard at building your downline and helping your team to grow and become strong before you can benefit from being a BTL.

It is definitely worth aiming for, because you will never get rich staying an EA2. The power of this business is in the TripleClicks Executive Pool matching VP and you must be a team leader to tap into that. However don't waste your limited resources maintaining this level until you are in a position to really benefit from it.

There are different criteria for choosing your A2A friends.

If English is not your first language, then it would be a good idea to choose A2A friends who speak your language with whom may be able to discuss points in SFI you are having trouble understanding.

Another option to think of is choosing A2A friends from your own country, so that you can discuss issues regarding TripleClicks purchases, or work together to grow the ECA program in your country, or perhaps if you find someone in your own locality you could work together holding promotional meetings. (Now that we have country forum groups, these can also serve that purpose.)

Sometimes you might see someone who is a high achiever in SFI and whose Ask SC answers or forum posts might really appeal to you. You may wish to form a closer relationship with that person and send him an A2A friend request.

Your question also mentions followers. I accept anyone who asks to be my friend. Sometimes I wonder why they asked me, but I always accept the request. I like having friends and being a friend. If things don't work out and the person had some sinister reason for seeking your friendship you can always block them and or report them to SFI if need be.

Regarding your A2A friends - they too, are not set in concrete. You may change your friends. When you have built a solid friendship and have exchanged phone numbers, or email addresses and have communicated independently of SFI, there's no reason you can't agree to end the A2A relationship so that you can both look for new friends if you wish. After all you won't be losing a friend you are already friends with.

I think using an outside source is best when your relationship with an individual team member has become more than simply business.
There is more scope to develop a personal friendship through email or even better having a face-to-face chat on Skype.

The team mailouts are for the whole team and are specifically meant to lead your team in the business, not to build individual friendships.
The e-cards are great and I use them often, but again they are specific to the type of card you are sending whether it be 'Congratulations' or 'Don't Go' or whichever card you are sending. Depending on the person I sometimes add a bit more, but not usually.

The chat box I find very hard to use. You can only see one line and it's hard to edit what you've written, and there is no ability to format it. When you hit return, hoping to start a new line or paragraph, you have submitted your message.

The best way to communicate one-to-one within SFI is to send an individual TeamMail message. Here you can write somewhat longer messages and enter returns and see what you are doing. You are however restricted to 2,000 characters, which is usually enough.

So if you wish to share family news and other bits and pieces, then an email is definitely the best way to go.

How one measures success depends on one's own circumstances and goals. For some success may mean earning enough to put bread on the table, while for others it may mean frequent overseas holidays, or retiring and living a life of luxury. For some it may have nothing to do with money at all.

I would venture to suggest that most of us joined SFI because we wanted a greater income for whatever reason we thought we needed it. If we are earning that income then we could say we have achieved success. If we have a plan in place and are working steadily towards it, and achieving each small goal along the way, then I would say you are being successful even if you have not yet attained the financial benefit you are aiming for. if you continue with your plan you will get there eventually, so you are in the process of achieving success, and that is surely success!

If you joined to put aside a nest egg and are seeing that growing month by month, then I would say you have reached a measure of success, even though the amount may still be small. You have time to keep working and growing your nest egg and have the assurance that when you need it, you will have it.

If you joined because you wanted to work from home, and are not yet able to do that, then I guess you haven't attained success yet. However if you are definitely working towards achieving that goal and see it as a very real probability, then so long as you keep working and growing your business month by month, then you are on the road to achieving your success.

Only you can determine whether you have achieved success or not. Follow SFI's Rules of Success and you will surely attain whatever you have set out to do, and that must mean you will be successful!

I did this when I first joined and then struggled to maintain the level after the first few months. I don't think this is a good idea as it costs money to maintain and there is no benefit if your team is inactive or non-existent.

My suggestion is to wait until you have enough regular EA2s in your team so that you benefit from matching VP. You can gauge when that is by studying your scoreboard page. Then when your team sees you move up to TL and you write about it in your blog and leadership page, they too will be motivated to keep growing their businesses and do the same thing.

Jumping in and upgrading before that is futile.

You could promote Privacy Maxx on your personal Facebook page, because you have FB friends from all over the world. You would mention it conversationally and say that it is only available in the US.

If you have a business FB page, you can target ads to specific geographic locations and specific groups of people as well. I think having a business page would be a very useful way to get cheap targeted clients.

If you have a blog you could also write an article about identity theft, and talk about how Privacy Maxx could benefit people. Again you would have to tell your audience that the product is only available to residents of USA.

I think the best way to find affiliates who will be active and motivated is to pre-qualify prospective affiliates. I don't think simply promoting your gateways is the best way to go, because you get so many sticky-beaks, who are just curious and join up because it's free.

I think to avoid this, you need a lead capture page where people interested in an online business can sign up to and you send them a series of emails explaining the SFI business. After about 6 or 8 messages, they will have a good idea of how the business works and will not join just for a look. If they join informed, they are far more likely to work the business.

People engaged in other network marketing businesses are excellent prospects to talk about SFI with. They are already in the right head space, so to speak regarding entrepreneurial activities and aren't frightened by the other things that scare away a lot of people from the topic of network marketing.

Ask them about their business. Let them tell you freely and be interested in what they say. Ask questions about the compensation plan and the products and what the requirements are for being paid and how, and how often, payments are made. Listen to the responses without trying to steal them from what they're doing. Don't pressure them to join your business instead.

When the person asks you about what you're doing and how you're business is going, tell them enthusiastically. Be active in your SFI business and have great stories to share. When something good happens for you, tell your friend! Eventually your enthusiasm will affect them and you will be asked for more information about what you are doing and how SFI works. Be ready when the time comes.

It is possible for someone to add SFI to an existing portfolio. Let them know that it is possible to run this business in only an hour or 2 each day and that it could fit in with something else - just the same as taking on SFI when you still have a full-time job. Tell them there is no financial risk so they have nothing to lose if they don't like it. They may be interested in giving it a go and with your enthusiastic support and encouragement will go so well with it, they will be so glad they listened to you!
