Laziness and procrastination go hand in hand. It does not mean that if you are lazy you are dumb or there is something wrong with you-you just wait for things to get done instead of taking the initiative to do them yourself.

The only way I see these lazy affiliates to get motivated is to keep on reminding them that they too can become successful and have a business of their own. They need a constant reminder of this to get them out of their comfort zone. Sometimes they need encouragement and once you are leading a team, you know that as a leader, your work is cut out for you. You cannot give up on any type of affiliate, whether they are lazy or not.

The other aspect of unmotivated affiliates relates to your own performance and sharing this with them can be a good tactic to wake them up. Once they see that you are achieving a lot, that too on your own, they are bound to want to try and move forward on their own.

Unless it comes from the affiliates themselves, sometimes it can be quite a task to get them to be motivated but it is possible with your regular feedback, emails and keeping in touch always!

When you talk of a "new PSA" I presume that you mean one that has joined SFI recently or within a few days of joining, you are having this chat.

We tend to be very excited to share details about SFI immediately we have a new sign up and this is where the trouble starts. We overwhelm the PSA with such a lot of detail and this can have a negative result. So be careful what you discuss in your chat.

From my experience,

a) I would first try and hear what the PSA has to say, what are his/her aspirations in joining SFI.

b) Find out a little more about the PSA, their background, their interests and what is important to them.

c) It helps to also know a little more about their family because to develop a relationship long term, other peripheral factors will contribute to the success/failure of the PSA. This is important in establishing how the PSA will develop in the team in the future.

d) Focus on your achievements with SFI as another area of discussion online. This tells the PSA how serious you are with your business and will have an impact on the PSA's decision to emulate your achievements.

e) The main reason people join SFI is to earn money and this should be another point to talk about. The PSAs goals will help determine whether he/she is in SFI long or short term.

The online chat's primary goal should be to emphasize the strength of SFI as an online company that you believe in will generate residual income for you and your team and if this can come across in your chat, you will have set the path for your PSA to work on.

This will also be instrumental in sending a message to your PSA that you are available to chat if he/she needs help in any area of SFI or TripleClicks. You should keep discussions about earning points and following the instructions to a minimum at this point. This is already explained on his/her homepage so simply aid in anything that is not clear and ask if you are in a position to help in any area.

There will be further online chats in the course of your interaction and I am sure you can pick up other relevant points at that time.

We are constantly reminded by the training within SFI that this is not an opportunity where you will become rich overnight. That aside, another important lesson learnt from this business is to lead by example. Both these factors are instrumental in helping you strive for better results. This is why this question is very important for me to answer through my experiences.

You cannot really force anyone to continue with the business unless they want to and they are willing to put in more than 100% of their efforts. I have come across this scenario more than once where

1..the affiliate in question opted out because she felt that she was working alone because she did not have an active team;

2..the affiliate gave her time, invested in a SO and did not have an active team under her.

In the 2nd case, not only did I talk to the affiliate but her immediate Sponsor was very patient and took her through each and every problem. We collectively encouraged her to continue and today she has an active team and is making a profit. The reason she did not quit was more her decision than our support.

We have also had many cases where affiliates leave only to return to the business and regret having left in the first place. I cite this as one of the more motivating aspects to point out to the affiliate who feels that their efforts will not be rewarded.

However, the best example if mine. I felt the same way but I did not allow that to cloud my judgement to want to leave and this is likely to have a better impact on the decision making of those affiliates who wish to quit.

My aim in SFI is to make money online and the amount I make will depend on the following:

- how many active affiliates I have in my team.
- how well my ECA store is performing
- how much of effort goes into referring PRMs or getting new customers everyday to buy from TripleClicks

I am also assuming that being financially independent through SFI is the reason you have joined this venture. So, it boils down to how many people you recruit get who will be self motivated and understand the long term benefits of SFI to remain active and in turn recruit and build their own team.

Very simply, I never stop talking about SFI from the moment I interact with people and this could be even before I have signed into my SFI site. I am from the old school where I believe that you can retain affiliates who will become active by building a rapport with them. And this is where my efforts are primarily focused on. This takes care of my word-of-mouth advertising.

I spend a lot of my time developing trust with my prospects.

I look out for opportunities where I can recruit more businesses as ECAs and this is another income generating stream.

Most of all, I make sure that I am in touch with my Movers on a regular basis, sometimes more than once a week and try to receive a feedback from them.

Finally, I try to motivate the sleeping affiliates and I know that at some point, they will become active because I always believe in never giving up on what you believe - that is why the results are bound to be positive.

Developing PTLs does not ensure that you will be guaranteed their presence in SFI long term. There are many peripheral factors that you need to consider.

- ill health
- death
- inability to maintain PTL rank
- financial difficulties

These factors can prevent a PTL from achieving the minimum qualification requirements therefore you should have a continuous stream of affiliates who will keep your business active. Develop your PSAs and have certain targets to follow each month starting with EA2 and BTL and then work towards it.

The higher your rate of recruitment, the better the possibility that you will have downlines who will make you prosper. Do not stop at the 5 PTLs and become complacent. What happens if all 5 stop working then you will not only lose your earnings but will have to consider that you might be moving backwards instead of forwards.

Keep recruiting - the market is still untapped and there are many prospects who are waiting to be introduced into SFI-its that you have not found them yet so keep searching.....

If you have studied the concept of the SFI & TripleClicks business you should understand that in any business you do, it is important to have excellent product knowledge. This enables you to market your product well and with positive results. That is what you need to increase your earnings.

- do not lose out any opportunity to advertise your SFI business

- talk about it whenever and whomever - you will not always get a positive feedback but do not stop trying

- get people to buy from your online store - this will increase your commissions

- more often, I buy on behalf of my customers and this is a good way to increase your sales points

- do not get discouraged with inactive affiliates, put in as much or more effort every day to support your team - your active PSAs who are working independently give you a direct commission that can build up consistently from purchases of your PSAs.

- the higher the number of active downlines, the better your matching VP commission and this is a valuable source of income.

- generate quality sign ups with your marketing campaign-we need to focus on quality rather than quantity.

- participate in the various activities that are within SFI and TripleClicks and motivate yourself to reach goals beyond your expectations.

Most people who are not business inclined tend to be skeptical when it comes to making payments online, this is especially true in areas of the population where online buying may not be that common, it may not be a norm for people to have debit or credit cards. Also there are reservations that are trust related. This is justified when you join a new venture.

However,I would bring up the investment bit in the second month from the time the affiliate joined SFI. This is because it is not difficult to make the minimum points required in the 1st month. This will give time to the New Affiliate to understand the business, see how auctions are conducted, how to purchase TCredits, how to refer clients to the website and much more.

Once this interest is generated, questions from the Affiliates follow on how to buy from where and this is the time to pick up on the investment and explain further the best investment options, standing order, collection of badges, converting MRPs into TCredit and other rewards. It also helps to keep the affiliates informed of your progress if you are leading them. This is a huge motivating factor otherwise giving up is EASY.

Shyness is not a deterrent that will stop you from progressing in your business unless of course you are not willing to make a few changes to your approach and attitude. Many people get scared of the internet and are therefore held back when it comes to exploring the various options that are available for your growth.

The best way you can forge ahead out of your "shy" self is to ask for referrals from friends and family - this helps a lot because you already have something to talk about. Your approach will be based on facts that you will collect before you call up the referral.

You can easily start a conversation in such a circumstance by saying "My friend Linda referred me to you - she thought you might be interested in a set of freshwater pearls that she felt you would like to give your sister for her birthday".

This breaks the ice and you are already practicing to build a rapport with people you do not know. Once you build that confidence, you will find it a lot easier to talk to people about what you do, how your business works and how you need more people in your team.

Another method that I have tried and have been very successful with is to gather up 5/6 friends - smaller the group the better it is for you. Create a workshop kind of an environment and at this point you must know a lot about your business to be able to make a simple 10-15 presentation in your living room. The informal atmosphere is an excellent way to get attention and improve your skills to market.

As for being internet savvy, I believe that this is like a hands-on experience, the more you work at it the better you get. This is also true for other areas of your life including feeling shy. Once you are confident about the topic you choose to discuss, you will not find it difficult to approach your business in the same spirit.

Do not hold back because you think you are shy or do not understand some or all aspects of the internet. You will learn but you must not be afraid to start. Organize a small group at the weekend and let that be a starting point in the growth of your business.

In a nutshell, my TEAM of 2 strong affiliates.

It is 38 days since I joined SFI and my Sponsor or Co Sponsor are not active but after following the instructions and teaching myself the business, I recruited two individuals giving them the SFI business opportunity.

I gave them the support whenever they have needed it and I share my achievements with them as much as they share theirs with me. All 3 of us are already team leaders and my team of 2 strong women (I might add) are doing exactly what I did-duplicating with strong, self motivated and hard working individuals to support their growth in the business.

I spend a considerable amount of my time vetting the individuals to seek out the "Strong" ones who I would very welcome in my team and they would be instrumental in my success.

Once we all have a common goal and understand the same language of SFI, my success is guaranteed as much as theirs is because they see my growth and there is progress each day I open my SFI homepage!

The best start is the MOVERS tab on your Things To Do list. This is where I see all my team members who are active come up automatically (depending on their log in statistics). If you would like your sponsor to notice you, this is the place to be in. This means being active daily but if you log in and do make any points, you will be left out of this important Movers' Tab. So make sure that you make points whenever you log in.

I am tempted to always send out an e-card to my team members encouraging them to continue moving forward and congratulating them for their achievements, however small they may be. As a Sponsor, this is where I notice my workers!

When you post in the Forum, your Sponsor will notice you and comment on your participation. In addition, you must also take an assertive approach and communicate with your Sponsor - this is the best way you will be noticed by your Sponsor.

Alternatively, the Genealogy is where you would be listed but as the team expands and there are so many affiliates joining in, CSAs and PSAs can total upto thousands. A filter in the system will come up with all the movers in my team and as a Sponsor, I will still look for the active affiliates.
