SFI has unique points that draw out its potential to prospective affiliates but you must also understand that the points you highlight will vary with the kind of people you are dealing with.

There is no point in telling a homemaker who has toddlers to look after and a part time job that she will have to go selling items on TripleClicks. This immediately will create a resistance towards the thought that she will have to sacrifice her time with her kids to go selling!

Therefore use general points that will have an impact on the people you are talking to. These would be my choices:-

- mention the integrity of the company and that it has been in operation in its 17th year;

- discuss the long-term benefits of working in a team to build residual income;

- most of the set up of the business is online and therefore it leaves little room for disrupting your other household activities including taking care of your children;

- maintain your trading hours as you deem fit - no need to answer to bosses, fill in leave forms or sick sheets. You are your own boss!

- explain the importance of being provided with 2 websites upon registration and given the opportunity to train online - all at no extra costs; sometimes people react negatively when you speak about giving them something free. It creates a notion that it cannot be worthy of their time.

- talk about SFI as your office while TripleClicks is the online shop; you can buy from a selection of 80000 products from over 150 countries; safe, easy to purchase and has a global presence.

This should catch anyone's attention!

"what is it", "how does it work" "is it an MLM", "how much do you make every month", "is it safe", "what do I have to do", "how do I join?

These are some of the questions I face when I am talking to prospects. Sometimes they are bombarded at the same time before I have completed the answer to one question, another one is raised. You cannot explain in a few words how the SFI system works and in the majority of cases, I feel you provide too much detail about one aspect of SFI and leave the rest for the affiliate to figure out. This can become very overwhelming and create a negative effect.

There is already plenty to read once the prospective affiliate joins and I do not like to give out a lot of information, which the prospect may or may not fully comprehend. As we have the option of converting a TripleClicks member into an SFI member, I try and focus on this aspect and once they have grasped what goes on as a TripleClicks member, they may feel that that is only an online store and the next step is to introduce the real business within SFI. This is how I prevent turn offs.

Too much too soon is the principle I keep in mind when talking about SFI. So you should judge the prospect and see what their interests are and accordingly take them through the induction process. Many affiliates may not presently have time for both SFI and TripleClicks but they may have just enough time for one. It is for you to decide.

You cannot adopt a general procedure for all prospects so use your discretion and move carefully so as not to overwhelm.

I consider communication to be effective when you receive a response from the person to whom the communication is addressed to. At least this remains the prime objective of any kind of communication.

To create the above result you need to understand certain constraints that follow all communication and in particular with SFI, there are limitations of language, different time zones and interest in SFI.

With my own experience, I find that SFI has various methods that allow you to communicate with your team but not all may augur well with the affiliates with whom you are communicating. At times, the weekly newsletters that we send out in the team mail prove to have a negative effect because affiliates feel that it is repetitive and generally they consider to be too much mail from SFI. Keeping this in mind, I try and add my own communicating methods and include:

- one on one chat through telephone contact-the advantage of this is that normally the majority of people have a tendency to reply to these messages; I provide my cell contact and can also create a group chat where others are able to participate.

- a voice message is also an effective method I adopt to send answers to queries and I try and follow what is easier for the team member;

- as far as possible, I try to avoid long messages and prefer to "talk" more than write. This creates a personal rapport with the member and with time, you develop more of a friendship than a business relationship. This is important for the team and you.

- for a small minority of my team members, when I come across an interesting article I wish to share, I use email so it is a different topic from what is commonly seen by everyone.

It is difficult to generalise and adopt similar methods of communication for everyone but you must use your discretion and deal with each situation specifically.

An EA2 (Executive Affilliate 2) is one who has been in SFI for 2 months and qualified as an EA - this means he has made 1500 or more versa points. That means you have sufficient knowledge of what is the concept of SFI and understand the basics.

These are the important steps you need to take for growth, progress and your development in your business:-

1. It is important that you build an active team, particularly of PSAs - if I were you I would have already started recruiting either offline or online in my first month of being in SFI. The more people you talk to about this online business opportunity, the higher your chances of having an active team. Even better is that you understand how SFI works so it would be easy to explain to others the potential of the ever growing internet business.

2. Once you have active members, reaching leadership levels is very easy and you need at least a strong foundation for your business so if you have very good 5 leaders that you will develop and nurture on a long term basis, you will find it easy to get to BTL, STL and higher.

3. You will need to consider the option of investing in your business and a standing order of 125 T Credits is a good start. In your 3rd month, this will help you qualify as EA and ensure that you receive all your benefits. You can then spend the rest of the month concentrating on advertising and other aspects of your business.

4. Consider opening an ECA store with products that other ECAs in your region do not have - that way you have the exclusivity and will start trading on TripleClicks. This will bring in commissions as you build your SFI business.

5. Take part in all the activities that are presented to you within SFI and that includes competitions, leadership challenges, auctions (these are useful ways to receive goods at a bargain and sell them at a great profit), games and there is so much going on.

6. Use the Forum as a guide to help answer your queries, participate and encourage your team members to frequent it - submit your own answers and if you win, you are rewarded with action VPs, these are very useful all the time and add to your commissions.

Make a concerted effort to enhance your business by taking steps daily to promote it. When you are enthusiastic about your business, you will pass on that passion to your team members and they too will be motivated to move forward with you. Work as a team with your workers!

In any business, program or relationship, we are faced with many difficulties of varying degrees but we make it better and try to work out the cracks and fill them up as best as we can. SFI is no exception. I see a constant and consistent effort to develop it, research existing systems and correct flaws - all for the benefit of the affiliate who is trying to earn online. This research allows me to conclude this is a real program and there is no myth about earning online. It is a reality I have faced.

I am passionate about SFI and this emotion is contagious that is is passed on to us from the team that leads SFI. Behind the scenes, there is a commotion of activity that none of us get to experience; we wonder how everyone is addicted to the KOT Trivia or the Card King game! This is the fun that enhances the everyday business that I am in and that I have accustomed to work with for the past 18 months.

I believe there is this serious issue that can get out of hand and this is what can happen.

Your PSA will ask you for assistance and it can be monetary or otherwise. You think you are helping this one time but then because you are trying to build your business, you not only invest in your business but allow your PSA to manipulate you into helping out financially. This is helping TOO much!

Affiliates must understand that this is an independent business yet it is not and this is where some affiliates take advantage of their Sponsors.

By all means, provide support to your down lines but do not encourage or leave yourself open to unethical practices.

Your question is like asking how do I motivate myself to continue my business in the New Year. We all know how important this is - to keep going in spite of all the difficulties and challenges you face.

So, how do you draw that inspiration and encouragement that will make you face the New Year with as much or more excitement and enthusiasm. This has to come from within you.

Prepare a Things To Do List outside the one that you have at SFI. I find this a very useful tool to accomplish both short/long terms goals and I tick/check every goal that I have achieved to add more later on. It is a form of Continuous Professional Development and helps you to remain motivated to achieve higher goals.

- Assess goals you had set and were not able to achieve;
- Ponder over the reasons why you were unable to reach them;
- Correct this by implementing ideas that you may not have been able to act on;
- Track your advertising campaign through your key codes and see where you got the best results-either change or take on new methods to get maximum results
- Make sure your contact list of prospective affiliates you wish to enrol as PRMs, ECAs and PSAs keeps growing;
- It helps to go back to the Basics and read some of the reference material provided by SFI. Sometimes we miss important guidelines and can improve our performance through minor changes.

You must realize that there will be no one to help you energize yourself other than YOU and this should remain at the forefront of your mind. Where you draw this inspiration from will depend on individuals and their capabilities.

In conclusion, it is good to assess your overall performance in the past year and let this be a start to your NEW YEAR. This will provide a good indication of where you will begin 2016.

A student learns and then imparts the knowledge to others to become a teacher. Therefore when you join SFI, you are a student but a good student becomes an excellent one with continuous learning and developing skills that will be useful as a teacher.

As a Student:-

- read and go over the lessons that your teacher (SFI) has taught you;
- it is not good enough to just read, understand what you are reading;
- ask questions when you do not understand anything - the Forum is here for that;
- finally act on what you have been taught;
- take a step further and do your own research - there is a lot of learning on the world wide web

As a Teacher:-

- your role becomes even more important because you have to teach your class of students who come from different backgrounds;
- when you as a student understand what you are doing, then you can impart that knowledge to your students;
- you are bound to get smart and the not so smart students - do not give up on any of them
- as a teacher, your role as an educator becomes crucial to the development of your students so do not get impatient with them;
- do not expect your students to understand the simple things - they maybe simple for you so take time to ensure that they really follow - if they do not, ask them to repeat what you have said. This will clarify any doubts;

Even when you reach the level of being a teacher, your role as a student continues. Learning never ends.

A lot of the problems and situations we face in SFI is because our communication is not effective enough to render a response. For example if I ask you, "do you like SFI or TripleClicks", you will receive a one-word answer. This stops the conversation from progressing unless you ask another question: "why".

There are various ways of reaching out to your team members but in the Stream, it feels like there is an informal conversation and the responses are much faster than other means. Talk about your personal hobbies or other news within the business that others may have skipped. Notify your team of contests you have-it does not have to be detailed, a brief message will advise everyone and initiate a response.

There is no limit of the number of messages you can write in the Stream and this gives you a freedom to also use the Stream for recognition of your team members' performance.

This is a very exciting thought, in retrospect I would have liked to join SFI much earlier and these are my views on why I would want to become an SFI Affiliate.

1..it has absolutely no monetary obligation to join up as well as no agreement or coercion to stay if I felt that this was not my kind of a business.

2..it has the back up of over 16 years of online experience, technical edge and 24/7 support that helps to keep my business safe;

3..it has a social network within the Forum and A2A friends support which invariably is a highly essential tool for help in the business;

4..it gives one the opportunity to earn online through various streams of income thus diversifying and providing you with options to excel Ina whichever area you are good at. For example, some Affiliates earn valuable T Credits in different games and we know that T Credits has an immense value in your day to day SFI business.

5..it's not just SFI, when you join, you benefit with an online store that you can call yours with or without becoming an E Commerce Associate.

6..you can enhance the lives of others by building a team and we know what result we can expect with a strong team.

7..I would very much want to be a part of SFI because of their commitment and social corporate responsibility by sharing the profits with a charity of their choice.
