Now I have read some helpful answers already to this question but I have also read the poor ones. I think to sum up this subject in a few lines is impossible.

So to get into the Google rankings isn't going to be easy. There are plenty of affiliate SFI websites out there using relevant but highly competitive keywords. Try a search yourself with keywords such as "work from home, second income etc and then look through the page rankings for a SFI website.

You have to take many factors in to consideration these days. Google is constantly adding new algorithms which makes it difficult for webmasters to maintain their page rankings.

Niche subjects work! Perhaps create a more niche website on a related matter and include SFI in the website.

Content is key! You need to write original content that brings your audience back time and time again. Update your content regular, Google does like new content and often.

Build your back links naturally, never purchase them no matter what the sales pitch!!
Google will penalize you for back links obtained this way.

Advertise in other ways just like your gateways, through social media and traffic exchanges, classifieds etc. Never just rely on Google always use other methods of promotion.

You should have an special SFI page on your website, to set this up, go to reference tab, Gateway list, and select any banner ad of your choice and make sure your website have a link to google. follow these steps and i bet to agree with you that you will have success in placing your sfi website on google:

First of all before anyone can find your SFI website when Google is used as a search engine, make sure that the following steps are taken into account:

1. Website Completed

This tells Google that the website is ready to accept visitors and not as an advertisement website or a website that is under construction. A completed website good working links, rich-in content that is well-themed for the target audience and most of all has a stable web hosting provider.

2. Submit your website to Google’s webmaster-tools

This will ensure that your website is properly structured and correct. It will check on your links and notifies Google of any update of your website for future search engine crawls.

3. Submit Google’s submit-URL

This is a must for anyone wanting to publish his website to submit your website to Google through submit-URL link. For doing this, Google will include your website in their search engine.

4. Link-Build

Google is looking for a website that has link-build naturally and organically. It means that your website provide a post section or link-to freely and openly. If your website is a business, it is better to submit your website to Google's business-directory and search, for better ranking Avoid link-building your website using paid links, using sources that is not themed to your website’s content and automatic multiple-submissions. They probably won't since search engines are not friendly to sites like ours and those with the ? in them that they know are affiliate links. I believe the best approach is putting together a site on working from home or online business that has links to SFI. One of the things that the search engines are going to look for is content. By that I mean content that is relevant, changes often, and has a lot of information.

You can purchase a domain name and forward to your SFI site, but chances are this won't rank very high in the search engines. If you have a really great domain name you may have some success, but you need thousands of hits before you have any sales/signups.

Do a search for SFI and you'll find the sfimg affiliate site but not much in the way of affiliate website. The search engines understand the spam and guard against it. You might type in your exact url and find it, but who is going to search for that?

Paid per click advertising is expensive and not worth the money. Most that join SFI don't have the kind of money they would need to get the quantity of hits necessary.

I think the best value for the money is S-Builder. S-Builder is an SFI tool that uses SFI advertising. At less than a dollar a day it's your best choice.

Be cautious of the advertisers that sell affiliate sign ups as well. Most of these sign ups will be inactive affiliates. Leads me to question the honesty of their business practices. You can try some and see the results but if you aren't getting good results, don't continue to do the same thing expecting a different result.

So, your own website, blog is best if done right. S-Builder is in my opinion the best value for your money overall.

How your SFI website is found depends on how your utilizing your links.
Are you an article writer?
Do you embed your link, in a word or sentence in the article?

Search engines will present it to a person who is searching for
certain keywords. If the word or sentence they are searching for
happens to be in your word or sentence (with the link embedded)
it could be shown to them.

Other things, such as your name, could also be tied to that link.

I also found that if your driving traffic to a link using various methods
such as social linking, traffic exchanges, solo ads etc. google
ranks such things, as how many visitors, and will boost the link in the search
results.

There are things that I have not promoted, which still show up in search results
so I know these all to be true from personal experience.

It all comes down to how creative you are in your advertising, and traffic strategies.

The more places you submit your site to the higher it will go in search engine rankings and the easier it will be for people to find it. The best way I've found is to blog about it and enter in keywords or tags as well as using social networks, and sites like linkedin and apsense that are mainly for business people, as well as classified ad sites and social bookmarking sites like delicious.

Just having an affiliate site doesn't automatically get you indexed on Google. It takes quite a bit of time as well as energy, but it's well worth it. There are so many niches within SFI that can be written about and shared through social media. Just pick something you like and start sharing by clipping snippets from the stream or Gery's blog, or almost any part of SFI that you like. You can also set up Google or yahoo groups, or write a howto, or do a video. There are any number of ways to get the word out and improve your search engine rankings at the same time.

If you are talking about your custom prestige domain, it would help to choose a name for your domain which is a word that appears a lot at the page you choose to direct it to.

People search for all kinds of stuff on Google. You can look into your Adsense account, if you have one, and see which keywords are being searched the most. However, all of this doesn't guarantee a first page placement on Google search results. It depends on many factors, including the amount of traffic you send to your domain name. Therefore, just keep advertising your site in free and/or paid advertising resources like traffic exchanges, safelists, facebook, twitter etc which are much more likely to drive people to your SFI website than Google.

Personally I wouldn't advise using Google Adwords unless you have a good amount of money to spend for it. Yet it may leave you disappointed and go broke on advertising this way.

If you don't have a custom prestige domain from SFI yet, and are thinking of using your SFI gateway with your user number in it, there is even less chance Google will ever pick up your link.

So my advice to you would be to get a custom prestige domain and advertise it wherever possible through free and some paid resources, yet make sure you set yourself a budget to avoid disappointment and keep going with SFI membership. You may also look the Tripleclicks store for ways of advertising.

One of the biggest misconceptions with web creation is the idea that "if I build it, they will come." The truth is that there are millions/billions of websites on the Internet and there is a GREAT chance that your website will get caught somewhere in the wind on the 'net.

What I did was get some books on SEO Marketing. Since I can't afford to hire an SEO agent (Search engine optimization), I figured that I might as well learn to do it myself. I learned how to use keywords and meta tags properly. I learned some of the special words to put into my ads. I also learned the "hot" words that people are currently searching.

The truth is, unless you have a ton of money that you are able to drop for Marketing, you need to be very intentional and VERY smart.

Typically a preferred course of action is to optimize content posted to a website so that algorithms used by search engines actually discover the content and proffer the results to people searching. There are many ways of making what might appear a time consuming chore automated and effective but generally the basics are that content is good in quality, relevant and useful so that it may be served up as a result in a search engine.

As Google provides tools to assist webmasters you might like to research how you might employ their tools and suggestions wisely to get in as high a result as practical. Use the sitemap submission process not only in Google but other search engines like Bing also.

Search Engine Optimization is more detailed than this brief outline of course but a number of strategies will include video and sound as well as text. Links to your website should as a minimum come from your advertising on free websites, blogs and from guest posts also.
