This is an age-old question. The truth is that advertisement is advertisement and there is no "which is more effective" in advertisement. The ONLY question in advertisement is where is my Market? Whether you do free or paid, you NEED to know who you are marketing and where they are.

Now, if your target audience are in the barbershops or beauty salons, you NEED to focus on setting up advertisement campaigns in those shops - they can be FREE (word of mouth or flyers in windows)

This is a great question and the short answer is both, here's why.

Advertising is a numbers game. The more ads you have in place, potentially
the more people will see them, and the more times they see them the more likely
they are to click through to find out more.

Both advertising types, free and paid, will produce results if use consistently.

Free advertising isn't free (due to the cost of your time), and paid advertising

Both paid and free advertising can be effective.

First of all, free advertising is not really free. It takes up time, and we all know that time is money. For affiliates who have little or no time for "free" advertising, paid advertising may be more effective for them.

The question is regarding Advertisement – which is effective – free or paid ?

Both are effective but it will varies person to person

If you are financially sound and time is factor to you then use paid advertisement. In paid advertisement you can write or add link as per your wish. There are no bindings. But in paid advertisement you may have to use an auto-responder if you are a very busy person and have no time to spare.

I would say Paid Advertising is the best because you usually will get more leads and in some cases warm leads those already interested in the type of business opportunity you are promoting. You also will get more exposure and more advertising avenues available to you. You can even place as many ads as you want also banner ads and Solo ads and more. There are more allowances along with bonuses and discounts with paid advertising as well.

With Free Advertising you may get 100-1000 leads

The quality of the affiliates that you receive rather free or paid are about the same in my experience. The main difference is the volume as well as the time of delivery. With free ads you will need a concerted effort over a longer period of time to get measurable results. However with paid advertising you will get PSAs within 30 to 45 days as with the S-Builder or earlier depending upon their being a current campaign running.

The most effective is going to be a combination of both

I have heard several people say that free advertising does work for them. I would think if you have a great ad with the right information that can grab the attention of prospects it may work for you. In terms of advertising, the paid advertising is more effective than the free advertising.

The reason paid advertising is more effective than the free advertising is that in paid advertising, your placed ads are sent to a larger platform than in a free advertising. Paid advertising conducts more traffic than free advertising and it serves as and excellent marketing and recruitment tool.

There are many different ways to advertise your SFI business! I used to think some were just a waste of time but I was totally wrong!

So, what's the answer, paid or free advertising? If you have the budget, and a good follow up system, paid advertising can pay off very quickly. If you are new and just need to get leads, then there is nothing wrong with using various free marketing methods to feed your SFI business. Although free advertising is cost effective, especially if money is an issue; paid advertising is always the best way to go since you are able to target those you wish to reach. Targeted traffic is the traffic in which the recipients are actually interested in what it is you have to offer.
