That's a wonderful question.. I think that SFI has provided almost all the ways to promote our business..Every answer stated by our fellow affiliates to this question is the same that SFI provides..The question is about the online marketing methods apart from those provided by SFI..

I think of the following methods to promote my business ..

1. TEAM VIEWER: This allows the sponsor to remote control the computer of his affiliates when both are online and the affiliates can directly see the procedures.

2. SKYPE: This allows the direct face to face contact of both sponsor and affiliates thereby increasing the trust and developing the business.

3. NUMBERTANK: This allows a call of 30 minutes free everyday and thus one can call any mobile number all around the world from their computers using internet..Its the greatest tool than skype because both sponsor and PSA have to be online to communicate using skype.. But in numbertank only one is needed online.. They can call the other one's cell..

4. YOUTUBE: Design a video to elicit the greatest features of SFI like "work from home,free,steady income,trustworthy,greatest & cheapest auctions in TripleClicks, ECA programs and all other ways of income" and give all your gateways in the video..

5. POWERPOINT : Make powerpoint presentations about the activities to do, for the first month and send it to all your new affiliates, thus preventing them from quitting...

6. BLOG/WEBSITES : Of course the most powerful tool is owning a blog or website ..once it is maintained and updated well it serves as a great means of traffic..

7. TRAFFICSWARM : Become a member in this site where you can get great traffic for your SFI business..

8. LINKBUCKS : Join this ad site ... Its not free but cheap.. Here you can get target traffic of specific countries if you need..I joined SFI through this site..

9. Email TAG : Tag your SFI youtube video link to your Email id rather than the link to sfi because videos cover most people than reading the big article for which they won't have patience.. All your ads must also include the sfi youtube link..

10. VIDEO CONFERENCING : The sponsor must illustrate every aspect of SFI and make a video and this can be published during college WorkShops,Career day,PTA meetings ..etc and if the sponsor is available ,he/she can personally clarify their doubts .. If not available, through video conferencing the doubts and questions can be answered...

11. BROWSING CENTERS : In many developing countries everyone don't have internet of their own.. They go to browsing centers.. When they open the system, the home page can be set to the SFI with all one's gateways.. Thus SFI is advertised to thousands and thousands of customers every month for free ...

12. TC PURCHASERS : Some of the people who purchase from TripleClicks won't be an affiliate or TC member.. Some offers can be give to them in their next purchase if they join SFI and maintain EA status.. Once they learn about SFI they can't resist..

13. OTHERS : Almost every other tool like gift cards, free classified ads,banners,flyers ..etc, is provided by SFI..

There are many different tools and resources outside SFI that you can use to promote your SFI business and many people here pointed out at some of them.

What I use consists of:

1. My blog (self-hosted Wordpress blog) devoted solely to my being a member of SFI, telling people about SFI, telling about what I do and how I do at SFI to achieve this or that result. However, I am quite new to SFI so some of my reflection may seem funny to other people, but that is also my point. Of course the blog is also a platform for my SFI banners. Still, it is a very personal way of sharing experience and also - leading by example. You can openly tell people what you tried, what worked for you and what did not, and so on.

2. Autoresponder. I treat autoresponder as one of the most important tools in my online business. Although I know that I can communicate with all members of my downline via PSA or CSA Mailer, I can't do it in sequence, so I have to send the same letters manually each time someone signs up and later on. Getting your PSAs at least on your own list enables you to send the same series of letters to each of them individually in the programmed sequence. Then you can use PSA Mailer as your broadcast channel.
I take the ideas for my letter series from Ask SC answers and my own experience.

3. Other co-ops and groups of interest gathered around SFI and their advertising or promotional materials. These groups were founded for the sole purpose of increasing the number of SFI signups and share those signups amont their members. They also provide (sometimes good) training and present other earning possibilities.

Now I'd like to mention a thing or two that I haven't started yet, but I'm going to use in the near future.

Web 2.0 assets, like squidoo for example. I am going to make a lense (or even a few) on SFI there. The great mix of various modules (text, image, video, etc.) that squidoo offers can be a great way to promote SFI, especially if you don't (or can't) have a website of your own. The same is true for a blog. Without my own website I'd start on blogger or a similar platform.

Another thing I am looking at is Slideshare. If you are creative, if you are successful at SFI at the same time (and I think you need one for the other), you can make a great training SFI presentation and post it at Slideshare.

I use a list builder website to generate traffic to my gateways and the SFI Co-op to get affiliates directly.

I also chat with people I meet while riding on Dart (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) buses and light rail trains. During the chat I pull out one of my cards and answer their questions. It pays to be a real nice guy. I also leave the cards wherever I go.

I use Facebook too. Make friends with someone in their early 20's and they will have thousands of Facebook friends. They also like it that I am a 66 year old who is socially astute to their world. Sometimes I ask dumb questions just to get a conversation going. It works.

My email address has SFI in it too so when I give someone my email address usually their first question is "SFI, what is that?"

I also have a free host website at Weebly that I use to promote TripleClicks, Pricebenders and SFI.

I try to have several things going at once so when one is not working the other one will work.

I chat and share ideas with my a2a friends a lot too. They have told me of several methods I can use outside of SFI that have helped me and I have given them some resources too. I listen to my upline and message them as they have a lot of experience of what works. Even my downline has helped me with new resources.

I do use a lot of the SFI tools but these are the ones I use that are not provided by SFI directly.

The marketing tools provided by SFI are excellent and cover most of the requirements. However the advanced marketing tools have to be developed by the affiliate. Some of these tools are:

1. Autoresponder - Many people feel that it is not very important but in my opinion every Internet Marketer must have this tool as statistics have proved that an average person needs to see an opportunity repeatedly before they decide to join hence when they first see your opportunity if you can get them to share their name and email address with you, you can follow up with them and explain to them the various aspects of the business through email. If they have any doubts then they can revert back to you through the email. This will make a big difference to the business by helping increase the signups.

2.Squeeze Page - This is part of your autoresponder system. You can create a squeeze page that creates interest in the mind of your prospect but does not give away the details, in order to get the details they need to share their name and email address through the autoresponder code embedded on this page.

3.Twitter automation tools - Twitter is a great platform to promote your business. But it is very difficult to maually follow, un-follow, search for the right people who are interested, tweet on a schedule, retweet etc. Hence you can make use of the many twitter automation tools available.

Great question to ask, but before I go on to answer your question, I will like to outline some of the marketing tools provided by SFI. They are but not limited to the following:

1. SFI E-Card: These are electronic cards that you can send to friends and family
members. They are provided free and are available to affiliates under the
‘’Marketing’’ tab on your SFI homepage.

2. S-Builder: This is also an online marketing tool provided by SFI to affiliates.
Affiliates have to pay a nominal amount to purchase this tool.

I am currently using Blog writing as an alternative online marketing tool to drive/ redirect traffic to my gateways.

Blogging is one of the best tool you can ever use to drive traffic to your home business.

For instance, In offline life, what holds your attention more – a single advertisement in a newspaper for some product or someone actually speaking with you and recommending the product? Sure, the answer is the latter.

The personal touch always works. More than that, when you understand that other people are using the product too, you are more confident about using it yourself. This does not happen with the advertisement in the paper. But when someone speaks to you realistically about it, you are more inclined to go ahead with it. Now, this is exactly the difference between a website and a blog.

A website is static. It is almost an advertisement of the publisher and you are only reading what they have put up. However, in a blog, there is interaction. This interaction, most often, is between the publishers and the people who are using the product. In the world of multilevel marketing, such personal interaction can go an extremely long way.

Why is blog writing one of the best online marketing tools? These are some of the reasons;

1. It builds credibility

2. It builds a brand Identity

3. It helps you to explain your opportunity better

Interesting and very key question towards the secret of success. Yes there are some tools which i use are not provided in SFI lists. Some of them are here

There is alot of online tools available to use to promote your business. Some of which are:

Online:

Free Advertising sites such as Craigslist, Local Advertising Classifieds
Blogs are great as it builds credibility and you can put varying banners on them weekly to change things up and provide a fresh new look
I also submit to local employment agencies posting it as home based business.
Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, all the social media sites work well and SFI provides you with postings of your success to add to your pages.

Offline

I know that you did not ask specifically for offline but some of the tools I use for offline advertising utilizes the cards available through SFI. I hand out or leave in various spots the SFI cards.

Some of those spots include:

Unemployment office - I set them on the computer desks so that they are visible when on the internet. I also place them at the tables and on their community job post boards.
Grocery stores - I put them on the ads boards that sit inside the doors. The key to location on the board is near something that is for sale and that is where I use the TC cards to bring attention to the pricing of items.
I also ask the local variety stores if I can leave cards at their counters. I use the "This Card Could Change your Life!". It displays FREE clearly and gets people interested enough to take one and check out the site.
