Use the Mailer on Genealogy page!

I would just use the mailers in the back office of SFI. I would only use autoresponder messages when you market and use capture page.

That way when you email your downline it is more of a personal message.

SFI does send out followups if they optd in at your SFI capture page and do not join right away.

Just do not send out to many, if you do, they will not read them anymore and just put them in the trash.

If you mean by "automatic messages" those methods on how you can communicate
with your affiliates, then our SFI Power Tools are best recommended, such as PSA Mailer,
CSA Mailer, Genealogy Mailer, even in your Leadership Page, and in stream tabs.
As you can see, communication will never be a hindrance for us SFI members to keep our
gateway of communication always open and ready to respond.

But if you mean by "automatic messages" sending mails/messages using autoresponders,
wherein you are not truly communicating with them, but only sending messages that are
templated, no interpersonal involved, that is a big "no no" for all SFIs. In that way, you are not building your team, but merely relying on automation that would
eventually let you down...Why? Because you will never have a chance to talk, hear, involve, yourself to your team. You will remain unknown to them and that is not a good
example. No affiliates will get motivated if he or she doesn't even have a single chance to interact with his/her sponsor.

Lead your team, build your team. Our success in SFI will depend on each and everybody's success. Your success will also be their success. Communication plays a vital role towards our goals.

I am in week 2 now on my way to SFI success and I would HATE automatic answers or pre-written ones. I only used the SFI greeting message myself once as I am a co-sponsor. The other mailings I sent in group mailers were personal. I love to build a relationship with people in my downline and using automatic messages does not help. It takes a little bit more of your time to write a message in your own words but I'm sure this will pay back. Every person deserves personal attention, we are not standard. Being personal also means the people you sponsor feel good because you show interest in how they are doing. Having a great team (downline) is so very important, you all benefit from it. So I'd encourage you to invest time in the people you sponsor or co-sponsor.

Not sending automatic answers also prevents you from making mistakes, the risk is there... and it would be very painful. I think automatic messages are great for newsletters and in response to squeeze pages but not in the downline business. A good leader doesn't work on auto pilot ;-)

In my opinion Twitter is the best option. This is because we can activate auto-retweets or manually retweet important SFI and TC news. Facebook is another viable option, however many may disagree as Facebook is more of a social networking site.

In may personal opinion I would use the emailing system provided by SFI to advertise. The email system I'm not sure If capable of auto-fuctions. However you can save emails then resend them at your convenience, just as good as auto-send.

Auto-fuction may not be possible to achieve through SFI's emailing system; as it is considered spam and generates a false image for SFI, you may possibly be penalised.

For recruiting members, the A2A semi-blogging function can help spread the word of your online business and if noticed by SFI superiors they will be glad to view your determination and most likely be granting you a downline. This will happen every end/start of the month. The key is to never stop working and show you are capable.
