If you are selling products from Tripleclicks, I think best way is buy that product and test it first. In that way, you can easyly explain what the product is. You will become the products product.
Make a full list of People and friends that you know there Phone number and or Email, Join Safelists and Traffic Exchanges that have more then 1500 members, and word of mouth advertising is still one of the best way to sell products and have samples of the products your trying to sell, If your using the product your self then 9 out of 10 people would most likely buy it if there interested.
I have not been an affiliate for long but have been in the marketing business for quite a few years and what I found most effective is the following:
1. I use TripleClicks and select specific products, like the Kindle for example. If one looks at the buying trends at a certain time of the year, one can expect people to be buying more of a certain product and less of another. So what I am doing currently is copying the images (important) of each product along with its description. Then I list these wherever I can on the Internet (classifieds, buy and sell sites). Important note though is to check if the site you are posting on is mainly viewed by people from that country or area. The reason for this is that some products only ship to certain countries or areas. Therefore you might get people requesting the link of the product from you and then not being able to make the purchase in the end. Once a user has looked at one of my ads, they contact me and I reply to them explaining that this is a product available from TripleClicks, providing them with the direct link listed under the affiliates tab of each product. This then generates direct VP and/or commissions.
2. I used local physical marketing. The area where I live in is a hotspot for holiday goers, so there is a lot of feet coming through, little markets etc. I make leaflets of the specific products and list their individual buy URLs underneath. Then I drop them off at all the markets and bulletin boards in the area.

There is no one universal way to generate sales available to all people. Different strategies work for different people depending on an individual's strengths, weaknesses and opportunities around that individual. You need to identify your personal strengths as a person and the opportunities around you, and then capitalize on them. I believe this way you will be able to identify the most effective way to generate product sales at TC and beyond.

Although the items used in the description are no longer available the method is still very valid and IMHO is the most effect means of making product sales here or with any program.
