Remember, the internet is one marketing channel. It does have broad and powerful reach. However, consider your strengths.

Do you work best with people directly? Go to conventions. Any convention will do. It will put you near a lot of people where you can use your strength.

Are you a writer? Blogging may be the path for you. It does not even have to be your blog. There are topic specific blogs you can contribute to and already have an internet exposure you need. You may even be comfortable to set up your own blog and have a similar set of blog entries there and keep posting on the other blogs with back links to your blog.

In the end, find and use your strength. If you can find a nitch on the internet that supports your strength, then go for it. The key is it has to be in your strength or you will never keep it maintained. On the internet, if something is not maintained, it gets shuffled to the bottom.

Don't get me wrong, many websites will let you write and maintain your own content. Maybe all you need is the help of a local kid to get it up on the site as you envision it. Only you can decide if that is in your strength.

I use Weebly.com. They seemed pretty easy to work with and I was up and running within 2 weeks and I know nothing about building a website. I am sure there are others out there but Weebly.com seemed the easiest for me. If you want to upgrade and pay for the services it might be better but that is up to you.

Honestly, I would learn about how to build a website and do research on what kind to have before making the investment. If you have some knowledge and a solid plan, yes it would be a wise investment, but you should have a solid plan and make sure you invest in marketing/promotion of your website as well.

Do some research and figure out what the best choice would be for you.

That is truly the wave of the future. There are a ton of ways that you can utilize a web site but there in is the problem. You can find thousands of people who will or say they can build a web site. Please be careful. Because you have a limited knowledge of the industry you need to first find someone who will advise you on what type of site you really need. Lots of times people get a site built and pay good money but really don't have a clue as how to use it effectively. I run a 501c3 nonprofit for assisting returning combat veterans and widows of fallen heroes and we have over 700 sites in our system. Two pieces of advise. Be careful what you pay and what you are going to get for the money you spend. Let me know if I can help?

Yes I say you should I have used Very Vip Hosting package in the pass and it already come with all the banners on it for all SFI products and all you do is promote it to others, just that easy and you couldn't ask for more and it will also make you a EA each month if you choice the top package just for SFI members. That is the best way to go since you don't know nothing about the web page developing or internet and can be very expensive if you don't watch what your doing so that is really the best way to go. Take it from someone who has been on the internet since it started back in 1993 and I also have been in SFI for over 13 years.

A hosting account is a great way to get started, but make sure you have a good support system and can follow a few simple steps to get going. It's not as difficult as it may seem.

I learned the hard way. I just signed up for hosting and start pushing buttons and learned basically through and error. Sometimes this is good, but for me I lacked a
lot of knowledge and had to teach myself and be taught by others. I learned how to
run a safelist first, then a traffic exchange, and then began hosting other people's
sites. My hosting re-seller business was the best thing I ever did and I will be doing
it again as soon as I can afford it.
