You should not be afraid to treat your co-sponsored affiliates just like your PSAs, as long as you are aware of the limitations.

If the CSA has an awesome sponsor that does not mean that your role as a CSA suddenly disappears. As co-sponsor, you are there to provide help and support to them when they need it. This does not necessarily mean just answering questions when they ask but also sending messages of encouragement or congratulations when they for example reach milestones or win prizes. And you can also share your own ideas. I think that if the CSA has an awesome sponsor that should also be a source of inspiration for you.

Your question focuses on the CSA having a great sponsor but the opposite is also true; that is a situation where the sponsor does not give much support to the CSA and in this case if you are good co-sponsor, the CSA will communicate more with you than his or her sponsor (My old sponsor did not communicate with me for more than one year and much of my correspondence was from my co-sponsor or other upline).

(Remember that PSAs are affiliates that you have personally sponsored through recruitment, advertising or buying).

Your CSA having a great sponsor is in my view very good for your team and should not in any way deter you from playing your part as a co-sponsor.

There are no boundaries to be overstepped.

You and your CSAs sponsors have one other major thing in common, other than the CSAs, you all want the affiliates (PSA/CSA) to succeed and do well in SFI.

You want them to do well with their recruiting, sponsoring and growing their teams. You want them to affect sales, you want them to progress up the ranks etc... In other words, you want nothing but the best for them.

Why? Because when they do well - you do well!

So dont hold back and be the very best sponsor you can. Sure, the sponsor reaps more benefits from the CSAs activities then you do, but they have the prime responsibilities to that affiliate and they also recruited him/her.

Ask your CSA what they need. If they have a great sponsor they won't ask.

Sending your CSA e-cards whenever you see the opportunity - like qualifying as EA, anniversaries, birthday etc is not stepping on the sponsors toes - it is just thoughtful support.

I have an awesome sponsor and co-sponsor. They both do their own thing and help and support me in their own way - yet I learn different things from both of them. They don't know each other so they are not in any agreement as to what they must do.

The newsletters I receive from both of them are so different that I get something out of it and no overlapping.

My own CSA's get the same letter as the PSA's - because I simply do not know how their sponsor is supporting them. I keep an eye on my PSA's and my CSA's under my movers tab and give them tips where I see something they can do.

I think you should help where you see the need in a way you can help. Your approach is different than the sponsor's. You will concentrate on what is important to you and chances are it will be different from the sponsor. The idea is to help the affiliate not to stroke anybody's ego.

A question to ask yourself is how would you like to be co-sponsored? What type of information would you like to receive from your Co-Sponsor?

Being a Co-Sponsor is just as important as being a Sponsor to a PSA. Your CSA's still need guidance and congratulations for a job well done. Some CSA's have no active Sponsor, so in this case you would fill in the shoes of their Sponsor and provide the guidance and answering questions they may have.

If you are still wondering if you are over stepping the boundaries, a simple solution to the unknown is ask the question to your CSA. Something like, "I am excited to have you being a part of the team. I am here to help you in any way that you need. As your Co-Sponsor, what would you like to receive from me? Guidance, congratulations etc.?"

Keep an open dialogue with your CSA and never give up on them. They will let you know if they feel you are over stepping boundaries.

I think you don't need to worry about overstepping the boundaries on those affiliates who have great sponsors.

We all do our best - send welcome letters, send weekly letters, occasionally e-cards and try to make it easier for our affiliates to start working harder and smarter. It doesn't matter if some information is duplicated. It will only persuade our CSAs that we really try to help them.

But, according to my experience, it is better to send small pieces of information at a time. Do not be boring, make your mails interesting and catchy. Show them that you like your work and try to be always positive. CSAs will appreciate it. And best of all, their sponsors will only benefit of it.

Many people have answered that there is nothing to overstep. These people do not fully understand the dynamics of affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing an bring us great riches if we apply the principles that make it work. I will not cover all of the principles, just what apply to this question.

In order to rake the burden off of each person of earning all the money, doing all the advertising, training all the team members, etc., we learn and teach each active affiliate to teach and train their own affiliates. This puts lots of hours and advertising into the whole organization. The money you decide to spend on advertising, incentives, rewards, etc.will also be duplicated if you teach it.

You will end up putting in many hours and cash to build a strong team. As a sponsor and team leader, you will have much invested in each affiliate.

Now, enters the gung-ho co-sponsor of one of your best workers. (This is not bad for those with no money to invest as a new affiliate.) He teaches how to get by doing SFI with the least investment in time and cash. What will this route do for your affiliate's and his team's earnings calculations and their actual earnings? What will it do for you?

What if the co-sponsor lure's the affiliate into following so many of his contrary methods that your affiliate opts out and rejoins under him? You have lost your good worker and maybe his team. You lost your investment in him.

This is an example of cross-lining. SFI has rules against that.Another overstep that some co-sponsors have been guilty of is called cross-solicitation where he tries to get a CSA to join another opportunity. SFI also deals strongly with that.

It all boils down to being ethical. The sponsor is the one with the vested interest (time and money invested) in the affiliate. He should be given all rights to do the training and advising of his PSAs. In that case the co-sponsor should back off and give encouragement and praise, even if the CSA receives his help.

An inactive sponsor is another thing. It is why we have co-sponsors.The co-sponsor should make an effort to contact the sponsor before he takes over the training of the affiliate.

Matters the way you think they wouldn’t do it in the first place.

You are the important part of the puzzle to fill up the gap to your CSA’s to make them a whole.

Great sponsor is one mind, having an additional Great Co sponsor is outstanding. No one think alike in everything better yet the same idea, you have your own way of helping them and their sponsors their own way.

So this will give them to get ideas from different direction to look things in a broader way to analyze and make their own decision.

This will help them not hurting them , plus we all grown ups so they can let you know if you are over doing it, but I don’t think anyone will do that, since it is beneficial, I don’t think they will close the door for help. I wouldn’t , I am always open to learn and grow
By getting help from experienced person no mater how much I know.

So don’t think that way, fill your roll the same way how you do to your PSA’s . Remember your PSA’s are having co sponsors as well, if your PSA’s don’t tell you about their co sponsor stepping over the boundaries, Your co sponsors don’t as well.

Think what kind of feed back you got so far from your PSA’s and CSA’s to get an idea.
On top of that you can communicate with their sponsor also, still if you don’t feel comfortable.

To fulfill your responsibilities towards your CSAs, you should do what you do for your PSAs. You will not be able to know all PSAs personally who have sponsored those CSAs who are under your team and also will be unable to know how your CSAs are receiving support from their PSAs.

So to be a good Co Sponsor you should fulfill your responsibilities towards your CSAs by teaching them personally to those who ask and solicited your help. To those who are not doing any conversion with you, send a weekly team post to them telling them about new happenings and news in SFI/TripleClicks.

Use all the other available tools like SFI Messenger, Stream Post, ECards to communicate and congratulate your active CSAs when they accomplish any goals and reach milestones, on their birthday, anniversary, etc,

Just about anyone in recovery can tell a story or two about a breakthrough conversation with a sponsor and co-sponsor about the difference it made to receive the personal support of a fellow affiliates, to be given a timely word of wisdom or insight, and to be listened to with respect.

Serving as a sponsor can likewise strengthen our recovery as we experience the joy of passing on what we have received and of watching our affiliates grow.

When I first began exploring the give-and-take of sponsoring and being sponsored in SFI, I quickly discovered that sponsorship must be practiced more as an art than a science. There is no single “best” way to sponsor, no cookie-cutter formula for how to sponsor well.

What’s more, people need different things in a sponsor or Co-sponsor, depending on where they are in their own journey of recovery. Given all this, it’s not surprising that being a good sponsor takes imagination, creativity, flexibility, a willingness to risk and to make mistakes, and a desire to learn.

As a Sponsor or Co-sponsor is just the same way as long as you have this team both in progress.
