When a person joins SFI there are three things that must be done ASAP.
1. Confirm registration.
2. Whitelist mail.
3. Complete profile.
Completing these actions makes it easier for your sponsor or co- sponsor to assist you.

Next the affiliate must start to read, read the About SFI page,SFI Basics, Compensation plan , Benefits chart and do the daily "to do list". They must also start to do Launchpad lessons . Encourage affiliates to learn more about the benefits of fast track.
The first month at SFI should be spent reading and learning . You have the latest training material at you fingertips . Use every available resource to learn more, do more and you will achieve success.

A point to remember is that you only need 1500 VP to become EA , when you join SFI there are many AVP (action versa points) available when you complete the "getting started actions", "launchpad "and " intermediate actions" learn to pace these .they will definitely be useful in the coming months.

I believe when a person joins SFI, the most important things for them to learn to do is to log in daily so they can grab all available VP. As they are doing this, they will come across thing through the forums, or through AskSC, that will teach them how to run their own business with SFI. Make sure they go through the To-do list to complete their affiliate profile, and to get their committment letter and picture submitted with SFI. I try to give them a couple days before I tell them about Fast Track, or making EA every month. I don't want to overload them with too much information in their first couple days. Hopefully if they have been reading, they will come across those answers themselves.

The most important a new affiliate has to do is that activity which will help him/her succeed as quickly as possible, and start earning commissions.

A. If an affiliate starts making money, he or she will want to learn how to do it more, how to increase those earnings.

The affiliate will also stick around. They will not quit.

To earn commissions, one has to bring in active PSAs and make sales.

This is what SFI is about.

All the other things around it are mostly meant to make doing so enjoyable and fun.

B. The next question, then, is how to start earning commissions as soon as possible?

By sharing about both

(a) the SFI Affiliate Program, and

(b) the Tripleclicks store.

One does not have to have all the knowledge to start sharing.

For those who are very new in the MLM industry, they have their warm market that is untapped.The best way to build their confidence is by sharing their enthusiasm for SFI with their families, friends, co-workers and business associates or anybody with whom they come to contact.

For those who have been active in MLM, their warm markets may no longer be responsive. However, they already have some experience in prospecting, advertising and selling. They will be well advised to use that experience to sponsor effectively and start earning.

C. Next Step: Increase the Knowledge of SFI and Tripleclicks while Sponsoring and Teaching Duplication.

These activities go hand in hand.

Learn how it operates because most of the persons joining are new to the internet workings.

You have to start first with your GETTING-STARTED ACTIONS.
That is to understand who and what you are getting into, do not just jump in and start clicking, it does not work that way. Read, learn and then DO. Let everybody know who you are and what you stand for.

Next learn the LAUNCHPAD section. That is your learning material so do not just click for the points but read and understand what it is all about.
The INTERMEDIATE ACTIONS are also important to read, learn and understand. There you get an in-depth teaching on how it works on the internet.

After and during the learning process you must log in daily which you will learn from your lessons to do other activities except to learn like:
DAILY ACTIONS, MONTHLY ACTIONS and WEEKLY ACTIONS.

After that it is up to the person to go for it or to fall out. So the motto of this story is, like anything in life - If you do not go for it you would not know how far you could have gone.

The person will join with reference from sources like friends,recommended by friends on social websites like facebook,twitter or from google search and so on.If the affiliate is joining through his friend ,see that it really suits him or not. Otherwise, the person who joins this affiliate will lose the shares and commissions, if he drops in the middle.
After joining as affiliate he should feel responsible and see that he will at least devote half an hour to do daily tasks. Thoroughly affiliate has to go through "Start", "SFI Basics" and launch Pad lessons. It will give an rough idea to affiliates on daily activities in SFI. Any views and expression he wishes can be shared on Forum and at the same time he can get his doubts clarified on the same platform.After joining he should think of sticking on SFI. He should not get carried away by people who is having negative notion or attitude. Rome is not built in a day. If they cannot really commit to what is needed to succeed in SFI, they are not going to follow the SFI BASICS, do the LAUNCHPAD or even read the SFI Rules Of Success. Forget about them even logging in to their Affiliate Homepage.

You must concentrate on getting them to realize that SFI is a real business, their business, and they must be willing to read and learn how to succeed. SFI has made it easy for them after years of developing the SFI business model.

When I seen your question my first thought was "learn".

So my answer of course would be to learn all that you can. There is no better way to be good at something and to be successful than to learn all that you can about it.

I would have to say do your "to-do list" everyday.
Do the "launchpad" everyday, it's a great way to get a basic knowledge of SFI.
Once you have done this start to click through everything to learn what everything is and where it is at.

The more you learn the more you will be likely to succeed in anything that you do.
