Secondly, you can get recommendations from people who used some spots earlier and they do testify that those spots are good.

Well I been in SFI for almost 16 years
You can look at SFI stats to see how many people is joining from certain areas
or how products is selling in certain areas.
You can also google it to get your answers to since that would be more up to date.
You can ask your upline for help with this also so your not
waisting money on nothing and using trackers is another great way to do it also.
One way to tell if you are using a good advertising spot is if you only see a few
ads for SFI or TripleClicks!
They say you need to view an ad 10-20 times before you get someone to click on it.
With millions of new underfunded biz each year and the scams,any biz needs to be heavily advertised.
Just place your ads at least every other day.It is the most important thing you do to
get new affiliates.

The only way to know if advertising is effective is to make somewhat of an educated guess and track your ads carefully. Use Key codes, keep track of different ads in different places, don't be afraid to tweak your plans and change things that aren't working, but be sure to set reasonable time frames to give your placed ads a chance.

I don't think that one can determine beforehand if a site is good or bad. If your first impression of the site is favorable then continue and test different copies of your advertisement.
The key is to take consistent action and to test different wording in your advertisements, no matter the site.
Every day I spend about 1 or 2 hours in promoting my SFI and TripleClicks business. I do this through free ads.
When I make a trip anywhere during any time of the week I will take with me W3 Gift Cards. I also leave the cards at gas stations, bank, grocery stores and barber shop. I usually give out 30 each every month.
