Everyone opinion is different and at the end this is something you have to decide on your own but I personally think that you should just be straight with them.
Tell them what you have been doing thus far, what you have accomplished etc.
Personally I think that you have to inform them if they want to be really successful they will have to invest a little money even if it is just for a 1500 standing order.
Remember to also explain to them how the standing order works and how they can benefit from it.
