You will find a lot of differing opinions with your question. Do not be alarmed.
What you must do is take it all in and decide what will work best for you.

I started out using the standard proven text ads and banners provided by SFI.
Most of which very well.
I think the best successful ads are the ones you have fine tuned to your target market.
You must pick your market first. Then prepare your own ads.
Study the ads provided by SFI. Study the ads you come across

1. Ads which are catchy and attractive to the eyes.

Honestly, the most effective ads for me are ones that direct people to *me* and not to the gateways. That is, if a person is a "quality affiliate" candidate, and they contact me directly, I can sign him or her up, train him or her in the various skills they really need to learn (and learn FROM THEM the techniques by which they excel), and then I get to watch that person succeed. By comparison, if I put ads out there, no matter how cleverly worded, funny, or exciting those ads may be,

This is now my 23rd month in SFI and since day one I started and still doing different kinds of ads because I knew that our success here at SFI largely depend on our active affiliates.

Looking at my Genealogy I can share with you where does my quality affiliates cam from.

1. Approximately sixty percent (60%) of my active affiliates came from my network of relationships. Friends and relatives. Some are right here in my place but others are from far places. I did present SFI

I have composed an ad that got people with serious marketing experience to send me their CV's. Sadly, this was the time when we had that cyber attack. Another problem was that these people were so serious that business opportunity wasn't secure enough for them and they wanted a secure paycheck. BUT- the ad attracted serious people, meaning maybe it would gave me some actives if our website wasn't under attack.
It said:

This is an excellent question. Far too often people get caught up in the excitement of owning their own business that they go out and do quantity advertising... the kind that is designed to recruit as many people possible in the shortest time possible. What do you think happens to them? The excitement soon wears off when they discover that they have a monumental downline of hundreds or even thousands and not a single one is active, or so very few are active that they feel their efforts have been

It is safe to say that we all have been struggling with this very question. One can take it: by quality affiliates those who take the business seriously, are active, and work to duplicate our efforts in recruiting as well as growing SFI.

Similarly, by advertising, you mean any marketing efforts to bring about the above results.

Three strategies have worked well for me; combining them will even yield greater results:
1. Advertising and working our warm market;
2. Using
